Hello and a warm welcome to the “Mare Nostrum 9” vacation rental. It’s located on the second floor of a small apartment building right near the beach, behind the dunes of Westerland. With 66 square meters of space and two separate bedrooms, it’s perfect for a vacation for four people, but it can also comfortably accommodate six, since the cozy couch in the living room—which opens onto the kitchen—folds out into a full-size double bed for a really good night’s sleep. Both double bedrooms feature the cozy sloping ceilings typical of the island. The open-concept kitchen-living room (painted “Vanilla”) is fully equipped; the balcony is furnished for summer use, and a private parking space (in the underground garage) as well as a shared washer and dryer are also available. But the best thing about this house is its truly great location: it’s less than ten minutes from this quiet street to the bustling downtown area with all its shopping options, quaint pubs, and attractive restaurants. And if you like to swim in the sea before breakfast, you can theoretically “just walk over” to the beach in your swimsuit—it’s less than two minutes away.
Don’t have a Latinum? Admittedly, very few of our residents do either. “Mare Nostrum” means “our sea”; it once referred to the Mediterranean and here on the island stands for a truly attractive apartment building where we manage all 12 units.
