Great Views
Overall we had a good stay there were a few small matters that would have been better. The oven didn't work and weren't advised prior to arrival, BBQ rusty plates couldn't use. A few other small things uncomfortable bed, fan not working. However lovely lushious towels, views were lovely - just need more chairs for balcony. Home was a pleasant stay and a lovely spot to unwind.

Thanks for your review. The oven has since been upgraded and BBQ rust attended to. the fan does work, you have to turn the light on with it.

Amazing Home for Families and Groups of Friends
We had a wonderful stay here. The kitchen was well equipped, the home was very clean and the bed configuration was perfect for groups of friends with kids to stay together. And the views were amazing!

Peaceful Mountain Ambience
Perfect place to base for a holiday exploring everything the Blue Mountains has to offer. Super spacious, gorgeous views, easy access to sites and walks, very comfy beds. I definitely recommend Treetops Retreat

The Serenity 👍👍
All around amazing. Veranda is large, safe for toddlers, and showcases an amazing view, sunrise, and sunset. The kitchen is well accessorised making meals a pleasure. There is a fireplace making cold mornings and afternoons incredibly cozy. Unlike some accomodations they provided a high chair, travel cot, more than enough tea towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper. I was thrilled to arrive, sad to leave, and had a most peaceful and pleasurable experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing house for families, young kids, or large groups. Large safe balcony with an incredible view, sunrise and sunset. Very large house, indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. There is heating and cooling available. A high chair, travel cot, and even a cupboard full of toys. The kitchen is well accessorised making cooking a pleasure. Short drive to town. Pleasurable, peaceful....highly recommend.

Perfect for a family holiday

A great place to get away for a week or weekend. The house is well kept and feels inviting the moment you come in the door. For a spacious place, it feels cosy and comfortable. The view from the balcony was great too!

Feels like home!!
This was our second stay at Treetops and we’ll be back in 2020. House is super clean! Kitchen stocked with all essentials to make a brekky on stove, oven trays avail to use the oven. Beds are comfy and spare. Landers are readily available. Two TVs allowed us to chill with a movie on the lounge and also watch movie on upstairs tv while crafting at the dining table. The owner Eric is so lovely! I’ve actually met him as last year I left my Apple Watch in the bathroom.. I called him and he told me he’d licked it away. We organized a meeting point for me to collect it from him at later date. What honesty!! There is Katoomba Marketplace only 5 mins drive away with Big W, Woolworths and ALDI available. We don’t want to leave but will be back in 2020! Go ahead and book.. you won’t be disappointed!

Great quiet location, well designed home
Lovely comfortable and great family home, close to the Hydro where we enjoyed a delicious high tea, horse riding at Blackheath and shopping in Leura Unfortunately it isn’t as clean as it should be, l had to clean the bath tub before we used it, and when l opened a chest for an extra pillow there was a stale biscuit!! I suspect the sheets in one of the bedrooms had not been changed so we didn’t use that room. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils but effective cleaning is required! Eric is great, access was easy and internet was good!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat
We stayed 5 nights at Treetops and these went by very quickly. We found Treetops Retreat to be a wonderful fuss free place for families to gather, disconnect from busy city lives; and reconnect with each other as well as the nature. Great sweeping views and fresh air. We were blessed with snow over two of the five days that we were in Katoomba. We had fun playing with snow in the garden as well as the driveway. Definitely a highlight is the central heating which was available throughout the house and even the bathrooms. We really appreciated being warm and cosy in the cottage when outside it was windy, snowing and less than 1 degree Celsius. We enjoyed lighting the fire in the fireplace as well. A treat for us who are from the tropics. Everything was in good working order and Eric was very efficient to respond to and attend to our request when we got in touch with him. Overall, we would recommend the Treetops Retreat for a place to relax and just unwind, yet still be very centrally located to all main attractions, i.e. Scenic World, Three Sisters, Sublime Point and our personal favourite Leura Village. Oh, if anyone fancies sticky date pudding, we recommend the unassuming Savoy restaurant in Katoomba town centre. Delicious! Thanks Eric for sharing your lovely cottage with us!

Another Great family weekend away at Treetops Retreat.
Thankyou once again Eric for sharing your mountain home... I’ve lost count.. I think it was our 5th year. We never get sick of that amazing view or toasting marshmallow in that gorgeous fire - a chance to spend quality time together. I would have to say Eric, that you are the best owner I have dealt with in all of our accommodation bookings over the years, for response time and addressing any questions, which is much appreciated. If you are looking for a wonderfully spacious & cosy home in the blue mtns for a reasonably priced weekend away.. don’t hesitate in booking Treetops Retreat.

Great holiday
We had a great time relaxing around the fire and enjoying the views whilst our 6 kids played for hours with the games, toys and netflix provided. We were so close to the scenic railway that it was possible to explore in the morning, come back to the house and cook lunch and then head back out again. We were lucky to get some snow on our last day. Very happy and we'll be back again. Thank you

Short weekend stay
We enjoyed our stay at Treetops Retreat. It was well suited to 4-5 women with individual bedrooms and beds and two bathrooms/3 toilets. The wood fire, central heating and electric blankets on the beds were appreciated given the Blue Mountains can be chilly in winter and we made use of all of these. There are some maintenance/cleaning issues which need to be regularly checked and the owner has been made aware, but otherwise the house is well-provisioned and comfortable. There is an excellent view of the escarpment from the balcony and plenty of space to move around inside and park three vehicles below.

A cosy home
This was our second trip to Treetops and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! The configuration of the house is excellent. We are 4 older ladies on our annual weekend away and we found the amenities to be perfect for us ... we especially enjoyed the beautiful fireplace. So lovely to sit around it nibbling on cheeses, sipping wine and gazing mesmorised into the flames. The only two things that we would mention is that there were empty wine bottles still in the kitchen when we arrived (which wasn't an issue, just odd) and that the second bedroom could do with a hook or two on the back of the door to hang clothes as there isn't a wardrobe in that room. Two small things that certainly didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the property. We'll definitely be back and in fact two of our number want to bring their families for a stay as the set up is excellent for young children too! Thank you Eric for your speedy responses to questions and your gracious hospitality.

Relaxing atmosphere with amazing views
From start to finish this was a very positive experience. The communications with the owner were excellent and Eric was more than willing to meet our needs and offer any assistance. The house was well presented and met the needs of 8 adults. The house is spacious and has several areas for relaxing and getting together. The balcony has lovely distant views over the treetops to the escarpments and is perfect for evening sunset experiences. We enjoyed our time and would happily return. Highly recommended.

Plenty of space for a big family
Great for a large family getaway or group. Big house, plenty of space, quiet location. Close to lots of great walks, easy drive to town centre and Echo point. We have stayed each of the last three years with between 5 and 8 people and always found there to be plenty room. Thoroughly enjoyed out stays. Eric is a great host who is always ready to assist. We highly recommend this property.

Family getaway
The perfect house for a family group. Plenty of space to spread out, lots of games, DVDs etc supplied. Beautiful view of the ranges and we can't forget to mention the central heating - wow what a luxury! Comfy beds, plenty of extra blankets etc. The Blue Mountains are beautiful area to explore and we all enjoyed our time here.

My family had a great time at this lovely house in Katoomba. Beautiful views, a short drive to everything but the house feels very secluded. Kid friendly with lots of books and games. Plenty of warm bedding provided and heating for those cold nights!

Very clean. Owner great to deal with - very efficient communication. Checked on us by text message to see if we needed anything during our stay. Beautiful views in a quiet location. Central to all the great spots of the Blue Mountains. We took a cab a number of times so we could have a drink - cabs arrived quickly and was not expensive to get around. Only thing lacking was champagne glasses, but a quick trip to Target and that was soon fixed. Room sizes are large with large bathroom. Main bedroom had large ensuite. Heaps of books and games, comfy chairs, 2 TV's. Comfortable beds

House was well kept and on arrival we were quite impressed. The views are stunning and we enjoyed breakfast on the deck both mornings we were there. The house feels very private and we found the kitchen had everything we needed. Although we were happy overall, some of the electric blankets didn't work and we had a minor plumbing issue and I'm not sure if either has been resolved for future stays as I didn't hear back from the owner.

Lovely location, fantastic views and homely
Treetops is a great wooden lodge for families. It is conveniently located just minutes away from Katoomba's key attractions and village centre, yet very secluded. The view from the balcony is spectacular, augmented by the sight and song of the local birds. Owner Eric Cheung was nice to contact and check if we had arrived safely at Katoomba and a communicative host throughout. As a 4-bedroom house, Treetops worked out very well for our family of six and felt like home for the 6 nights that we stayed there. On the downside there were some minor maintenance issues that I've communicated separately to Eric and he's already jumped on to fix some of them right after we left. Well done, Eric! Bottomline - we will stay at Treetops again if we revisit Katoomba.

Warm, comforting and welcoming
As soon as we walked in the door we knew we were somewhere special. The mageatic timber ceilings, spotless kitchen and immaculate bathrooms greeted us. I organized a craft weekend with my business and needed somewhere cozy for my customers to enjoy peace and quiet and gain inspiration from a beautiful setting. Treetops did not disappoint! We had a fabulous family time. And with four kids, we really need the space. Treetops really is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The property is so peaceful and has a beautiful outlook. The house is comfy and well appointed, the lounge and fireplace was ideal to relax in together, the kids had plenty of space for when we wanted to be at home; and yet we were so close to all the local attractions for when we wanted to get out and about. To top it all off, Eric, the property owner really looked after us too and made us very welcome. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect for our family weekend away
We have just had our 5th annual stay at Treetops Retreat & yet again we had a wonderful time. When I 1st found it to book, my requirements were it had to have a lovely outlook, a fireplace & extra heating, min. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a good living area & most importantly affordably priced. Treetops Retreat well & truly addressed these needs, hence our return visits each year. Having 2 living areas with 1 away from the bedrooms makes it ideal for holidaying with small kids or 2 families with it having 4 bedrooms. We did not have any cleanliness issues & the new replacements to the kitchen(stove, d/w & m/w) were much appreciated as well as the new hairdryers. Eric the owner is great to deal with & the location is just fantastic & so peaceful, we just love it & will definitely be back. Thankyou again for having us stay.

Cozy house with some updates needed
With days of wet weather, we spent alot of time enjoying features of the house. The layout of the lounge made it convenient for the family to be together while doing multiple different things. Our 4 yo son enjoyed many of the child amenities. The bathrooms are in most need of updates and we recommend the cleaners be more detailed with removing expired amenities and replacing broken utensils. Overall, we found the stay enjoyable and a good location for the purpose of the visit.

Lots of room and a great view.
This is a spacious home in a quiet area with a beautiful view. Four bedrooms make it a convenient place for a family or group of friends. There could be more attention to cleanliness and other details as we had no supplies available for even a basic breakfast or meal.

Thank you for your review. We now have an excellent cleaner and have been receiving 5-star reviews for cleaning. This is self-contained accommodation, not and bed and breakfast. We do not advertise that food is provided.
