Stayed for two nights from New Year’s Day, location is fantastic a 10 min walk from the three sisters.The rooms were basic, but good everything that was needed including electric blankets.The house felt a little tired, it had a sold sign so potentially recently sold and not worrying to much re future bookings, updating or replacing things.There was no working light in the laundry room (windowless), the dishwasher had been filled and put on but then left for us to unpack with a lot of the items still dirty, kitchen cupboards were not clean and we washed all the plates, glasses and mugs before use as most were not clean & no dishwasher tablets had been left. A pan full of grease in the oven. A few hairs in the bathroom too.There were spider webs in the corners of rooms. A real shame as cleanliness I think is really important especially in a room like the kitchen. Likely no fault of the owner, but the cleaning company should definitely be pulled up!I did message and where the owner was responsive and asked me to send photos as it’s not the standards they would expect, there was no actual apology for us having to clean up on arrival, there were dishwasher tablets left on the step the following day, though nothing to communicate this. As mentioned great location, good to have parking so close to attractions as that can be expensive, it wasn’t the weather for the garden but that was lovely. Just need to replace the cleaners!
