I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and cleanliness of the shared areas - bathroom, kitchen and lounge was in a reasonable state. All over, it was great value for money I'm really pleased I stayed here.

There was a warm greeting, warm shower, clean sheets. This was overshadowed by filthy conditions, misguided management when dealing with overbooking beds drunkenness and ignored my request for a quieter room, but in the same breathe upgraded for free two other people for free but asked me to pay for the upgrade. I'll avoid this hostel in my future travels. It has left a bad feeling of being unable to handle all clients needs for safety and a decent night's sleep or requests for an upgrade to avoid police being called out to remove drunken load/ rude poeple

Don't stay here unless it's your last option. Expensive, dirty, weird smells all around, mainly humidity and piss. No lockers in rooms and just one socket.

It was ok! Room was very simple...as in a bed and a fridge and a pedestal fan and nothing else...but it did the job. Couple of cockies getting about, but that didn't bother me. Might bother some other customers though...

Unfortunately we didn't stay here because the location was impossible to get a parking spot to unload our bags. The surrounding areas felt unsafe and as a result we booked accommodation elsewhere

thats unfortunate as we have parking available for a discounted charge and the area is quiet safe now maybe next time if you like

Free fridges in rooms
Good location, but just a bit small kitchen and TV area. Good to have a fridge in your room and windows.

nothing unique. clean room but the cleaners are disgusting, shouting at all times of the day.

this hostel is the best in sydney but there are two areas where it can improve, first one is the rudeness of one backpacker who emptied the garbage bin in my room, rude woman and they need to do something about the kitchen, it is small and cannot handle too many people, I would suggest staggering breakfast, certain rooms at a certain time.

Great Staff, Great Location!
Friendly staff, great location - good facilities - it was a little hot, but the hostel did provide fans - a good stay, the local area is amazing!

No air conditioning. Broken fan. Water pipes very loud. No water pressure. So hot that we had to sleep with the window open on to the street where people party all night. Cleaners left our room unlocked multiple times.

Not nice. Blankets not washed and dusty. And noisy
Not nice at all. Blankets dirty and dusty. Carpets dusty. Toilets dirty. No shower rack. Noisy all night. Doors slamming. People running in the hall way talking loud all night. Only had 3 hrs sleep. Wownt reccomend and wownt stay there again.

Muito ruim
Hostel em péssimas cobdiçoes, sujo, fedido... banheiro nao foi limpo nenhum dia (compartilhado). Recepçao funciona das 06:30 as 21:00 entao se o check out for feito em outros jorarios nao tem ninguem para atender e devolver os 30 dolares de seguro da chave. Transfer nao foi nos buscar no aeroporto mesmo tendo ligado e combinado tudo assim que desembarcamos. Muito ruim! Não recomendo.

모두가 다 별로
엘리베이터 없고, 바퀴벌레 너무 많습니다. 매우 더러워요. 침대, 주방, 모든곳에 바퀴벌레가 있습니다. 바퀴벌레때문에 환불 절대 안됩니다. 자판기가 망가졌는데, 경고문 하나 없습니다. 10불짜리 지폐 넣으면 10불어치 다 사야합니다. 공항셔틀도 일처리가 매우 별로다.

Terrible hostel.
The room was really bad, the bed was making too much noise, don't have anything in the room. The breakfast, terrible! Just bread, cereal and butter, ridiculous they announced that have a breakfast included. The crew, very rude, and when the girls were cleaning the kitchen, they start to talk about the people on the hostel, with aggressive adjectives, in Portuguese, thinking that just they speak portuguese. but I'm Brazilian and I understand everything, I stay very angry with this. The bathroom is terrible, the shower is a door with no place to put towels and clothes. Very bad place to stay.

Attention au RAT !!! Je vous le déconseille, ayant déjà plusieurs expériences dans les auberges de jeunesse low-cost ici on est hors concours en matière d’insalubrité. Ma copine et moi avions réservé une chambre privée pour une semaine dans cette auberge, on savait très bien que ça n’allait pas être un 4 étoile, mais nous attendions tout de même un minimum en matière de sécurité sanitaire. Nous nous sommes retrouvés avec un RAT dans notre chambre !!!On a donc décidé de ne plus rester là, et de nous faire rembourser pour les nuits restantes. Mais le manager n’est pas réceptif (politique de l’auberge : PAS DE REMBOURSEMENT). Pour le manager, c’est normal car les rats sont dans les rues, donc ils sont amenés à rentrer dans les chambres pour voir s’il n’y a pas de la nourriture… Il ne s’est même pas excusé et ne semblait pas être gêné par ce gros problème. Après plusieurs minutes de discussion, il décide enfin de nous rembourser (pour éviter le scandale je pense) 80% de la totalité pour les nuits restantes sans recevoir d’excuses de sa part… On lui fait part également de notre mécontentement du wifi, qui était de 500mb par jour de base qui et ensuite passer à 300 mb sans nous l’avertir (même pas suffisant pour rechercher du boulot sur internet) pour ensuite ne plus fonctionner totalement pendant les 3 derniers jours de notre séjour chez eux. Le manager nous a répondu que le wifi était gratuit.

This one being my second that bad review, but other people need to know. Even though I got accustomed to budget hotels, this one was really disgusting. I booked it as it was allegedly in the centre and there was allegedly breakfast. Well so far I have never skipped my breakfast anywhere but here it was simply horrific: on entering in the so called kitchen in the morning I saw dozens of cockroaches on the mugs and accually everywhere. The so cold breakfast is a box (really a paper box) full of cheap bread, some jam, butter and nutella from yesterday or older. You know what: they'd better left this "breakfast" out - because it is really offensive to offer this to other guests. Apart from it the toilets and showers are really dirty - the door to the toilet can hardly be closed without you touching the wall with your body. The internet worked but in the evening it was very slow and you had to login EVERY time you wanted to use again with a new user and long password which you needed to ask for at reception. It was supposed to work for 12 hours but in my case it worked for perhaps an hour or so. Another plus: loud crying guests in the kitchen which where hanging there around like homeless till midnight. Some of them probably worked in the hostel because they where daily there and laying on the sofas as if they were at home. An unpleasant scenery. And, the hostel is not very close to the very centere either. I needed to walk for 15-20 minutes to get to the centre and I am quic

６名のドミトリーの部屋でしたが、長期滞在者が部屋中荷物を広げ、足の踏み場もない状態。また、夜中に女性を連れ込み、ベッドをシーツで囲み、卑猥な行為や声を発して、眠ることが出来なかった。

Just don't stay there
The room is dirty, tiny, smelly noisy , no ceiling fan, no aircon, not enough sockets, no lockers. Other guests talk loud in the corridor in night, they party on the ground floor at night and noise goes into the room. Bathroom very small and sink is stuck, no toilet paper. Trust me, just don stay there, ever worse I stayed. The staffs are quite friendly.

Orrendo.
Uno schifo totale. Doccia in camera descritta su hotels.com? falso. Pulizie giornaliere? falso. Intenet in camera? falso. Ventilatore a soffitto? falso. In compenso avrete scarafaggi in camera e cucina che vi faranno compagnia. Pulizie della cucina stessa a carico degli ospito e naturalmente pietose, telecamere ovunque che dovrebbero controllare, ma non lo fanno. Assolutamente sconsigliato

Lots of steps - good for younger travellers
plenty of opportunity to do your cardio workout, with all the steps you climb to reach the hotel. rooms were okay but no air conditioning meant it was really hot (we stayed there in January).

Well it not so good experince actually the toilet is smelly not clean enough and the wifi every 3 mins shots down.. But the location is very good near from everything and very accesible.. And the restaurant and bars are everywhere its a busy street

Okay for backpackers; careful if you have a car!
Important: If you have a (rental) car, don't let the price lure you! The backpackers offers no parking spaces (which was my mistake for not realising earlier) and I had to pay a whopping $65 overnight at the closest parking. With the total cost I could probably have spent the night at a really nice place instead. If you're into serious backpacking, youngish and want to mingle, this place should be perfect. For all others it's probably too loud and not really comfy. Had the pleasure of one of those Australian cockroaches in the room as others reported. Not terrible but not reassuring either. Okay for one night if you can't find anything else.

Cramped, dirty and noisy
Overall the hostel is in a good location and is one of the cheapest around. You get what you pay for. It's extremely noisy and doesn't look like it gets cleaned regularly. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm which didn't have enough space for 4 backpacks. There's no lockers to put valuables in and I found the hotel staff very blunt and unfriendly.

Poor hostel
Roaches . ... loads of noise which is to be expected but room doesnt provide any protection from ten german bombers in thr air at all times ... Also got charged twice for my stay .... i did get refunded i think overall there are much better hostels in sydney
