We very much enjoyed our stay in Studio44. The loveliest hosts, a gorgeous cottage with everything we needed, along with a lovely welcoming fruit platter, and a fantastic location - Easy walking distance to the ferry terminal, local shops and eateries. We loved the view out to the garden and the peacefulness of it all. We would love to stay again.

Place to Call Home

This studio is great! It's quiet, well equipped with supplies, and has a very comfortable bed. The hosts responded quickly to questions or needs. The location is perfect. The neighborhood's main street and a park are a few blocks away Sydney is a ten minute ferry ride away. I loved hearing the birds chirp and seeing Sydney skyline from the garden.

The perfect spot in Sydney

Studio 44 is located perfectly, just a short walk from the Balmain Ferry and the Balmain strip. The Studio itself is clean, tidy and with all the amenities you could need. John and Annie were wonderful hosts and we look forward to staying with them next time we are in Sydney.

Great spot and hosts

John and Annie were great hosts and have a fantastic studio in their very beautiful and well maintained garden. I stayed with a dog and we enjoyed easy access to Darling St in Balmain, and with the microwave and fridge were able to be pretty self sufficient. They also generously provided breakfast items to enjoy. Great communications throughout thanks for a wonderful stay!

Garden setting

We loved the garden setting and listening to the bird songs! Everything was very comfortable. Very much appreciated the yummy breakfast supplies! Very private. Great location for taking the Sydney ferries and buses. We'd definitely stay there again!

Amazing B&B in Balmain

The combination of a spacious well equipped studio and a virtually private adjoining garden, all within a short walk to Darling St, where there were plentiful eating establishments of all food types, and prices, as well as a multicultural atmosphere, made our week stay in Sydney an unbelievable delight. Our hosts were very helpful and made us feel right at home.

Wonderful

This is a great place to lay your head. It is one block from the Ferry to downtown Sydney and a block to the town centre of Balmain. Great location. John and Anne are wonderful owners and help with all your needs.

A gem!

We are so pleased with our stay. The studio was clean and the owners had breakfast items and fruit when we arrived. The studio is close to the ferries making discovering Sydney very straight forward. It was a short walk to restaurants, grocery store, a pharmacy and even a laundry mat. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We certainly recommend this property.

Sydney Xmas Adventure

Modern, tidy, quite, clean, authentic - easy access to public transport. Spent some quality time with my 89 yr old mum - seeing the city decorated for Xmas. Morning breakfasts in the garden were a highlight - great supply of breakfast treats. John & Anne were super friendly hosts. We will be back for sure.

Such a warm welcome at the cottage!

John and Annie are the real-deal hosts - welcoming us into their space, so keen to see that everything is alright, offering tips and advice on the area/city, and eager to help in any way, The unit is discreetly placed at the bottom of the garden with its own entrance, and equipped with the essentials and some nice touches such as bread, milk and wine! The location is wonderful - in the heart of Balmain close to shops and amenities and, important for us, close to our Irish son and his family, who are settled happily in this beautiful part of the world. We would recommend John and Annie highly.

Perfect for a dog friendly getaway.

Perfect accommodation, had everything we needed for our visit to Sydney. Beautiful garden to relax in and fresh breakfast ingredients provided. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming to both us and our dogs. The location was great, with access to dog friendly parks, cafes and the local hotel. Highly recommend and hope to stay here again .
