It was our 25th wedding anniversary after staying there on out wedding night 25 years ago. The staff at the front counter said we had been upgraded to a spa suite which was very appreciated. After having our dinner and returning to our room we had a ice bucket with a bottle of champagne and two glasses, chocolates and a handwritten card from the staff and management team. This was a gift and was a huge surprise. It made our stay and our night perfect.

Wow, what an amazing stay. The staff service and overall amenites of this hotel was outstanding. Will definitely be coming back if I needed a quick getaway but still be in sydney. The hotel is still undergoing renovations but even with the limitations myself and my partner had a great stay for his 30th Birthday. Easily the most affordable and convenient hotel in the Sydney area. Will be recommending friends and family. Pools, steam room sauna, gym, Walking distance to great restaurants, walking distance to the beach, very relaxing. Amazing views from balcony. Only thing is the amenities close quite early and there is limited lighting in the bedroom.

What a find
Very surprised how lovely a stay it was, we wished we had booked more than one night. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. We were given a fabulous room on the 11th Floor overlooking Botany Bay. It was a large room with two large TVs a sofa and a very comfortable bed. The facilities in the bedroom were perfect for our stay. The bar area was attractive and very pleasant, we had been warned about the building work and we had no issues with that….we will return though when they’re done! Finally, the breakfast was superb with a huge variety on offer, we did eat far too much, it was difficult not to!

Tired but improving
It’s in a great location right across from the beach but it’s in between areas being renovated-so our room was very tired in terms of looks etc. but we had a wonderful view. In a couple years I’m sure it will be great.

Renovations
The biggest issue was the hotel was doing renovations, so everything was not open, and the heated pool did not work well. The water was pretty cold for it being heated.

Great views over the bay and airport. We had a TV that didnt work which was promptly fixed. The shower leaked which was annoying. Parking for 4WD unsuitable. Only 1.9 height limit so parking was difficult.

The staff were amazing and very accommodating, nothing seemed an issue at all. The newly renovated rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. There was an amazing choice of in-house movies available to watch which resulted in movie marathons. We will definitely be back!!

Room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Staff were doing their best with all of the interruptive refurbishment activities going on. Australia was in the ODI World Cup final the night of my stay and I could not watch it on the TV in the room! Could only get ABC and SBS. A staff member came and tried his best to fix this issue to no avail. Additionally there was no transfer bus to the airport, how can a hotel close to the airport not offer that service for their guests?! Apart from that major inconvenience I enjoyed my stay.

Dust mite city
We booked a $400/ night king suite for our wedding anniversary, the room was so old, the carpet stunk of dust, the couch was disgusting and sagged heavily in the middle. The chair was stained with goodness knows what. I woke up with a rash, sinus and cough from the dust mites. It is undergoing renovations, the breakfast area was lovely but there is now way that room should have been rented out.
