Unsuitable car spot, the room was dusty and there was mould everywhere. We stayed there 5 days and the staff never made up our room, once we ask at the reception they said as it was long weekend they were just doing cleaning for new arrivals.

The location makes up for the slightly tired nature of this property. The staff were great and it was so convenient to a great area to explore.

Was quite old and looked aged. Conveniently right opposite The Newport pub. Parking on the property, if you have a smaller type car, is fine but for anything bigger you’ll be parking on the street

Our 2 night stay was quite good however property has Hugh potential for update and is really needed .. it was a very convenient location for us.. on site parking was very difficult with tight spots.. staff were extremely accommodating and very helpful. Price was great for our lovely view although a balcony would have been fabulous

This hotel is very tired and nothing like the photos. First night I was kept awake with doors banging and people talking. We booked 3 rooms, the room on level 1 ( they had a baby ) outside their room was a common area and after they came home from the pub, stopped outside near the pool and smoked and were very loud. Booked for 3 nights didn’t bother with the 3rd. Very disappointed.

Limited customer parking available. No dead lock on hotel room door. Bathroom exhaust fan was excessively loud and shower was mouldly. The rest of the room was nice.

Stayed at the Mirage for a staycation up on the Northern Beaches. Yes the property is tired and really there aren’t any facilities you’re going to use except your room, but that’s what you get for the price. It’s priced appropriately, and well located for everything Newport, Avalon and the northern beaches offers, and right opposite the Newport Arms and Bert’s (the new fine diner within it). The staff couldn’t be friendlier and more accomodating too. Is it fancy? No. Is it priced accordingly? Yes. Just don’t expect more than a bed for the night in a great spot. And take your ear plugs, rooms are a bit noisy.

We checked out after 30 mins the bed was so hard you couldn’t even sleep in it it was bad enough just sitting on it. Badly needed updating and cleaning!!

The staff were very professional. They were each exceptional. The room was comfortable but there is mold on the ceiling above the entrance and above frig cabinet. The parking garage is a nightmare.

There was a humming sound all night.I didnt have air conditioning on and I couldnt isolate it as something coming from outside.My conclusion is that it's in the building, walls.I was also awakened by the fridge humminig at 5am.This hotel is tired and needs a revamp. There was also a brown smear on the carpet at the end of the bed.

The room size and view was very good. Loved the layout. It would be fantastic if re decorated which I hope is in the pipeline. Likewise accessible food options would be nice but not a deterrent. Parking was very tight to get in and out of.. But we would like to stay again!

Very dilapidated hotel. Room was in poor condition. Broken sink, furniture was chipped, or laminate was peeling. Public areas were in a poor state, and some areas unclean. Facilities not accessible.

The staff are kind and welcoming. The hotel it self is located in a beautiful spot. However, Air con didn’t work, rooms are dirty and need some love

The property is in dire need of revamping and TLC. It is jaded and from the 80’s in style. The location is superb. The hotel does not have a restaurant or offer any breakfast either, relying heavily on the coffee shop up the road; or the Newport hotel across the road. There is also someone/or something that sounds remarkably like a leaf blower the starts every morning at about eight to ensure you don’t sleep in. I did have a good time in the Northern Beaches but didn’t have it enriched by the hotel. A bed with a pillow was my deduction.
