A terrific stay. It’s very hard to find a rustic cabin such as this where you can “be off the grid” while still having the option of going to nearby towns such as Richmond and Windsor, only a few minutes away.

Great for a digital detox

We (2 adults and 2 dogs) enjoyed our stay. Accommodation matches the description and photos. You can't see the other cottages so there is a sense of privacy. There is no internet, phone or TV signal so its great for digitial detox. The cabin had tonnes of DVDs, some books and games to keep you occupied. There is a great dog friendly swimming spot a short drive away.

Cozy getaway

We loved our stay at Magnolia. The cottage was cozy and the fireplace was fabulous. Clean and had all the essentials. The grounds were great for the dogs. A lovely mid week getaway.

Escape from the city

I stayed at the magnolia cottage with my mum and daughter. We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas and enjlyed the peaceful environment. My daughter particularly loved all the different birds. Thanks to Fiona and Mike for their warm hospilitality.

Want a get away from Sydney.

My friend and I needed a break and get away, from the fast pace of Sydney and work. Well we got it, peaceful, relaxed our 3 dogs loved it, all the essential items were there, just bring your food, could have stayed longer. Our host Fiona was fantastic, any inquiries needed, she was more than happy to answer. We will definitely be back next year.

What an amazing place!

Couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the beautiful Magnolia Cottage, hosted by Mike and Fiona. Cabin was full of rustic charm, and surprisingly well insulated through the colder nights. Our dog probably had the best time exploring the property and jumping in the creek, and the kids loved running around and collecting firewood. Was a fantastic break from the city, easily accessible yet felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Easily one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed in, will definitely be back!

What a great spot !!!

Lovely little log cabin with the necessities, a fire and perfect location away from everyone for a getaway. An added bonus of limited mobile reception was a plus. Fiona was lovely and accomodating, would truly recommend !!!!

A wonderful Retreat

The booking process was quite easy, Fiona who owns Magnolia Cottage was very accommodating and was a delight to communicate with both via email and phone. The location was very nice and peaceful, actually getting to the destination was a little curly as the road was a dirt road, but this is to be expected given the location. The Cottage was very clean, the grass was nicely mowed and is a wonderful place for a quite getaway, especially if you dont want to be disturbed as not much mobile phone coverage. Lovely fireplace, Double spa, electric blnkets and aircon, big Verandah with outdoor furniture to sit on, bbq, fire pit! A lovely place to take your pet to as well, our dog enjoyed running outside and at night enjoyed sitting on his bed in front of the fireplace!

Perfect Getaway

We loved so much about our stay in Magnolia Cottage at Hidden Valley Retreat Cottages. Within the first hour of our arrival we were birdwatching (there are so many beautiful birds here) & enjoying all the gorgeous surrounds of the Valley and the bush. We spent the evenings in front of an open fire and the days exploring the Valley. From booking to walking through the Cottage door Fiona & Mike made us feel very welcome and we appreciated their visit to check in on our arrival. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful place with us Fiona & Mike, we will definitely return to check on the Satin Bowerbird's progress. This was simply a perfect getaway.

The log cabin was better than expected. Very clean & comfortable. More accessories than we thought.

Easy book online. Got what we paid for and more. Fiona communicated what was needed & was happy to help. We were left in peace to enjoy the serenity of the property. Fiona did pop by on our last night to check how our stay was & was friendly & welcoming. No phone, internet or TV was just what the doctor asked for & our Border Collie just loved it. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful Rustic Cabin

Absolutely blown away, Very well set up and Fiona was amazing to deal with. I thought we might have issues with minimal wifi or signal but this was an unexpected joy, we played board games, watched dvds, went hiking, bird watching, made a bridge across the creek behind the cabin, We went Swimming at the river (Colo 20 - 25min drive)and (Ripples Pools 30min drive) , Locals were a delight to chat to. A lot of cool history around the valley. The Cabin is well thought out, warm comfy, quiet and had everything, next time we we’ll pack a lot less and take essentials only food, clothes and toiletries. We stayed for 3 nights my only gripe is we didn’t stay longer!!! Thank you Fiona, Many happy returns. 110% see y’all next year 😊 We will 110% be next year.
