Sydney apartment

The location is wonderful, close to public transit although a bit of a walk to the CBD. The property manager was relatively easy to reach, hopefully they have fixed any issue we addressed with them, check in was a bit of a nightmare as instructions weren’t very clear.The downstairs bed was very uncomfortable (our friends that slept there thought it was just a box spring. )Bed upstairs was comfortable. Apartments was clean!

Great location and lovely apartment

We had a great stay in Forest Lodge. Apartment was perfect for what we needed and really appreciated 2 bathrooms! Only issues were checking in - instructions sent through were not adequate and I had to call the property manager to get a step by step guide to finding the keys. Once inside the building, there were no directions to the apartment.

Not what we expected

Overall the Stay was ok, but disappointed. Difficulty Checking in as check in instructions were unclear and had to contact someone for support. The room smelt of Mould, downstairs especially and the rooms only have fans, no aircon. The windows had no security screens that were in good condition either. Upstairs bathroom is nice, downstairs is not renovated and old. Overall needs some work and not clear on site the overall cleanliness of property.

Decent, but …

The place was fine, clean and reasonably well equipped. It felt a little crowded, especially the living-dining-kitchen area, because the furniture was a little too big for the space. The tv was nice and big and we could watch Netflix, though other channels didn’t seem to work. The kitchen had most of the things you would need, but it was something of a hodgepodge of equipment. Clearly, a lot of it was whatever the owners no longer wanted. The knives were ridiculously dull - the paring knife would literally function as a toddler’s toy except for the pointy end. The lone cutting board was tiny. The Nespresso machine would not make coffee. I never tried the espresso machine. The toaster worked fine. The laundry machines worked fine. My biggest issue was that, towards the end of our 10-day stay, we were running low on toilet paper so I sent a message asking for one or two extra rolls and was told “No, they didn’t do that.” I realize that this isn’t a hotel, but having to buy a pack of 8 rolls when one would have sufficed was really annoying. The area was quite nice with easy access to a couple of parks. There were some decent coffee shops and restaurants in three directions, but all of them were uphill from the apartment. Sydney seems to be quite hilly so this is probably a common experience. So, all in all, a decent place but not one I’m gushing over.

Great views at night

Great apartment although the dinning table is to big, made the living area space to cramp. The down stairs shower water pressure was crap, and the down stairs bed was very uncomfortable. The instruction had a photo of the front entrance where the mail boxes are. So that was confusing when we went to get the key ( The front picture needs to be taken out of check-in instruction). When the key was around the back padlocked to a drain pipe. Also there was no communication from anyone until the day before when I asked for check-in instructions. Car park underneath was very squashy and dirty.

A peaceful Haven

Great split level property with a gorgeous view great area. Can almost walk to City Centre shops nearby and everything provided that you could possibly need.

Good but could have been better

Overall good stay and close to where we needed to be. Food for thought: -surrounded by two very busy streets, as a result traffic noise is quite high -internet connection not good, sometimes disappeared entirely -communication with management of apartment was good, however emails / messages were sent by different people (counted 4) -second bedroom upstairs had a missing blind which meant privacy was compromised

Great location

This was a really great find. It is far enough from the bustle but really easy to get anywhere with the light rail being so close. We had preteen kids with us and it was perfect for them as there was a park close by to run around. Good local shops. Nice and quiet at night. Very comfortable. The only thing I would complain about was the somewhat eclectic collection of cooking pots. Just a decent non stick frying pan is needed. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

Modern, clean and spacious

Great property. Very clean. Good amenities. Perfect location, just a short walk to the Tramsheds for a meal each night for delicious food. Bedrooms noisy with the road just outside. Comfy beds, just noisy environment. thank you
