Truly Almost Heaven

Such a beautiful location! Highly recommend if looking for a place to stay close to blue ridge parkway or Staunton. The view at sunset is unbelievably beautiful! Thank you for a very memorable weekend!

Delightful!

It was a wonderful place to stay. A short distance to restaurants and any other places one could need. We love the peaceful surroundings. One can’t go wrong staying here. You will hope to return soon, just like we do.

Wonderful rental!

We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. The view is definitely heavenly, and the apartment was immaculate and comfortable. Bill was a great host and gave us great information on area restaurants and activities. We highly recommend Almost Heaven and would stay there again!

A Wonderful Place

Beautiful location and place

This is a wonderful place to be, the view is spectacular. Porch swing on the back where you may enjoy your beverage of choice and watch the sunrise or set. Great host! You will love it.

Definitely almost Heaven!

We had such a wonderful stay, the place is so lovely! The views are breathtaking and we loved sitting on the patio gazing at the mountains. The owners were very hospitable and we enjoyed talking with them. We'll miss our daily puppy visits. When we come back to the area, we hope to stay again!

Beautiful and Relaxing Getaway

The property was even more beautiful in person and my wife and I had such a relaxing time. The owners were so friendly and welcomed us when we arrived an showed us around which was helpful. Bill gave great restaurant recommendations that we tried and loved. An excellent trip and highly recommend this property if you are looking for beauty and relaxation while still being close to restaurants, shopping wineries etc.

Absolutely a bit of Heaven!

This was my second visit, and I wish I could have stayed longer. Peaceful and serene, incredibly gorgeous view, very comfortable and perfect! Bill is wonderful -accessible and respectful. Can’t wait to go back!

Great views!

Stunning views of the valley. Had a great couple nights. The basement apartment is nicely separated / private from the house. Had a great time playing some outdoor games with a spectacular backdrop.

Peaceful with beautiful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. Bill was a great host - very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable about the area. The property was clean, nicely decorated and well maintained. The view was extraordinarily beautiful. It was quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Just what we were looking for. We definitely hope to return!

Perfect weekend getaway

The photos don’t do this property justice. Breathtaking views and sunsets! We so enjoyed the beautiful flower gardens and watching the birds and lightning bugs in the evening. The owners were so kind and accommodating. The amenities were wonderful and so much nicer than a hotel stay.

A Heavenly Weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and upon arrival understood exactly why it’s described as ‘Almost Heaven.’ Bill is a very gracious host who greeted us when we arrived and, being well versed on the area, suggested lots of great places to visit and dine. The accommodations are as listed and makes for a clean, comfortable place to retreat for a weekend getaway. The proverbial icing on the cake is the view of the mountains which is absolutely breathtaking. We will definitely return!

It IS heaven!

Everything about this property is just amazing. The first thing we saw was the view. Just spectacular. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Looking for a great place for a getaway? This is it! Lots to see and do in the area, wineries, breweries, etc. I promise you won't be bored. Will is a very gracious host, easy to communicate with and attentive to your needs. Staying here was a wonderful experience, would definitely come back.

Just What We Needed!

It's very "challenging" to find getaway locations that accommodate wheelchair users, but this one did not disappoint! Notwithstanding the amazing and calming views and the cozy condition of everything inside, the owner made sure that we had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. My husband easily navigated inside and outside of the unit in his wheelchair, the bed was nice and firm, and the stillness of the environment was priceless! Anyone just looking to steal away for a little R&R should definitely check this place out... you'll be glad you did.
