Recommend for a nice quiet getaway

Cozy Cove is a great home. Very clean. Very comfortable for our family of 5 and could have slept more if needed. Nice property with very large yard a nice lakefront views.The Red Barn Vacation customer service is phenomenal. The regular check ins to make sure all is well and good is so nice. Plus app has great information and easy to use. We've rented many many houses the last 20 years and this was the best customer service we've ever had.

Vacation on lake

Perfect house on the lake, small and cozy. I brought our fishing boat 16.5’ to get out on the lake for a few days, just enough water to get to dock. Fall season the water is down but it all worked. We would stay again. Check in check out was very easy with text messages from Red Barn.

Cozy cove

Loved the dock slip. House was very nice. Some mold in washer rubber. Dust bunnies around feet of the furniture. PLEASE. Get shower caddies. Very awkward not having a place for soap and razor.

Great location and great house!

This house was perfect for the 8 of us that came. Plenty of room for everyone while also have a nice covered porch and big back yard for activities. It also was located in a quiet cove which was perfect for our boat as it didn’t get too much disturbance while being docked. Would stay here again anytime!!!

Wonderful getaway for some mature ladies

The property is situated beautifully, right by the lake but on a quiet inlet. We enjoyed the hot tub although the weather was a bit warm. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the view and just chatting. It was nicely situated for the other Deep Creek attractions we visited (lavender farm, glass blowing factory). The bathrooms were very nicely updated and the kitchen well equipped for our needs. We were 6 ladies in our 60's and 70's so the one drawback we would like to point out to anyone else coming to stay was the VERY steep steps to the 2 second floor bedrooms. This would be the only item preventing us from booking this property again. However, I don't want to fault the property because we probably should have looked a little closer at the pictures. We just learned to try and limit the trips on the stairs to morning and evening. Since both bedrooms upstairs had their own bathrooms we did not have to worry about that late at night. The hosts kept communications open but we didn't have any issues so there was no need to reach out. I know we all will remember that trip very fondly and recommend the location.

Perfect location

The location of this house was perfect for what we were looking for. It was close to the main strip with restaurants, but far enough away that we didn't have to hear traffic. The waterfront location was enjoyed by all, especially our water loving dog. The covered porch was perfect while it was raining; we were able to enjoy many meals there. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils and pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, with clean sheets and bath towels. We recommend a little more attention to detail while cleaning- there was something sticky on the door handle and sink in one of the bedrooms, and tons of cobwebs throughout the house. Our only major complaint is of a smell that was coming from a cabinet next to the fireplace in the living room. When we reached out to the property manager, their suggestion was to open the windows, without ever coming to the house to offer a better solution. Opening the windows did not help; it only allowed the smell to permeate outside on the patio. The smell made it very uncomfortable to hang around inside. Overall, I would recommend this house if you're looking for a cozy waterfront location.

Cute cottage

The decor was quaint but updated nicely. We loved the calmer water of the cove especially since we had our fishing boat. The convenience of being right on the water was awesome. Our sons were able to fish numerous times throughout the day.

Spring break Lake House

Very nice place and incredibly well furnished! Love the lake view and access. Only very minor complaint would be the noise from Bill’s boating close by. That aside, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cute Little Cottage on the Lake!

This is such a cute, clean, comfortable cabin! We had a quick ski trip over the long weekend, and it was a lovely stay. We were a total of 10, including 3 kids and 3 teenagers. Rooms were immaculate, the kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils, and the hot tub was warm and ready for a quick dip in the freezing weather. Overall, we had a great stay!

Fun Deep Creek getaway

The house was laid out nicely for 2 families of 4 people. I had some concerns about cleanliness, deadbolt on the door, and a broken shower, but the property management company did resolve those quickly. It's a great location away from hustle bustle of Wisp and peaceful on the lake. The driveway is far from the entrance to the house, so lugging suitcases/groceries back and forth on slippery ice was not great. Kids had a blast in the hot tub and enjoyed the room with the 3 beds!

Cozy cottage

Perfect location! The cove was frozen over and it was absolutely gorgeous. I truly appreciated the amazing spa towels and my husband was happy with a nice stock of wood for the fire. Thank you! It really was a relaxing week.

Wonderful Thanksgiving

We had a great stay over Thanksgiving. The house was just the right size. Lots of sleeping options and a nice common space. Just big enough to not feel crowded but still small enough that everyone spent great time together. Table was perfect for family meals and games and puzzles around the table. Bring your own as there wasn’t any at the house. The manager was helpful via text when we had some questions. Really close to everything. We all had a great time.

Wonderful stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here, and the rental property staff went above and beyond to help us be comfortable. The lake was fantastic, and since we had small children with us, I appreciated that the water by the dock wasn't too deep. The beds were comfortable, the technology worked well, and the kitchen was well stocked. The only issue I might mention is that the water was pretty brown. It was bad enough upstairs that we couldn't give the kids a bath, but it was ok enough downstairs for showers and drinking (we brought a Brita pitcher with us). This might have been a seasonal issue, or related to recent storms, but it seems worth mentioning. It wasn't a dealbreaker, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything else about the property and the people. We can't wait to go back!

Quiet and Cozy Cove

We stayed at Cozy Cove for our family vacation, along with family, including kids, nieces and nephews. The house was clean, well cared for and updated nicely. If anyone would come with young children who take naps, the house is older and not insulated in the ceiling, so sound travels easily from the first to second floor. Didn’t bother us though. The outdoor lounging areas were spacious and comfortable. The grassy walk to the water, private dock and hot tub were a bonus, too. The water is shallow in this cove and has a lot of seaweed growing in it, so although it was perfectly fine for our rafts and SUPs, it didn’t make a great swimming area. But the cove is very quiet as described. The neighbors on either side are very close, so there’s not much privacy for anyone, if that’s important to you. We had a lovely week overall.

Perfect location!

We had a group of 12 guys in their mid twenties at this property for a long weekend. We had planned to spend some time in the lake and hot tub, and then seek other activities in Deep Creek. We never made it off the property! Once we arrived we realized we likely wouldn’t be going anywhere else. The location is phenomenal, the yard is perfect for lawn games, and you couldn’t ask for a cozier home. We spent time playing games in the yard, floating on the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, hanging out on the patio, screen porch and around the fire pit. The house itself is very well kept, sleeps a large group comfortably and has three full baths so even with many people no one is ever waiting their turn. The neighbors we met were also very nice. I would absolutely recommend staying at this location and with Red Barn Vacations who made the process a breeze and even provided a secondary location for our overflow vehicles!

Great family getaway!

Had a great family getaway! The cottage was clean and full of character! The big yard was perfect for the family to have a wiffle ball game and run around. The dock was perfect for our boat and tucked away so no big waves came in from other boats. Thank you for letting us make more memories with our kids and grandkids!
