Amazing hotel! We loved our stay. The staff was so helpful, the food was delicious, and we loved being right next to the black sand beach.

Brand new hotel as of July 2026. It was placed in a neat area, 15 minutes away from the nearist town. They are still building onto it, i will be back if we visit iceland agian.

Beautiful property in a stunning location with water and black sand dunes and beach on both sides. Incredible included breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, baked beans, potatoes, Skyr, fruit, cheeses, smoked salmon, toast, pastries, coffee and juices) in a spacious dining area with views. Ground floor room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location just south of Selfoss and the Golden Circle and an hour from the airport. We stayed for two nights and would definitely return and recommend.

This will be a great hotel when the finish construction and add the amenities we thought would be there. The beach and waterfront was beautiful but no sauna, etc. there was no one at the desk when we arrived and when she finally came up she stated she was in coffee break. She did not explain anything and we saw little staff there the whole time.

Tolles neues Hotel. Ist zwar noch teilweise im Bau aber wir haben uns superwohl gefühlt. Das große Frühstücksbuffet mit Blick aufs Meer ist traumhaft.

Looks like new hotel. Inside room was very nice restaurant view was great. I could see the waves birds. Great breakfast . Maybe I'll stay if I can next.

5-star experience from check-in to check-out. Beautiful ocean views from the room and breakfast areas. Modern and calming spaces help to focus on mind/body restoration. Staff were attentive to every detail and the client's needs. Can't wait to return to the property when completed for the spa experience.

The hotel just opened this spring. Could not ask for a better location directly on the ocean, watching the arctic terns nesting. Hotel manager was super nice and helpful. Construction is ongoing to finish suites, etc. It was super quiet when we were there. We enjoyed sitting in the spacious lobby looking at the view. Room was nice although a little dark. Excellent breakfast buffet. They have a few quirks to work out. Will be fantastic when done. Would come back.

Great location. Small rooms. No place for suitcases. Hard flooring and impractical light beige carpet. Breakfast adequate but not great. Dining area overlooks ocean, so nice. Lots of ‘adjustment’ issues (hotel is new) so things may be fixed in the future. Area is lovely. Highly recommend The Red House for dinner in neighboring town of Eyrarbakki, a quaint fishing village a 10 minute drive away. 🙏

Amazing hotel Only been open a couple of weeks Check in very quick, helpful and pleasant Room was beautiful , clean and spacious looking out over the sand and sea, ( shame about the weather but that’s not their fault.) Dinner in evening (3 course set meal) was a little expensive but well worth It . It was delicious . Came with stunning views out to sea. Breakfast was also a delight with plenty of choice. Plenty of areas to chill out in comfort too if weather bad. Staff very helpful when asked questions about area and routes we were taking. Very well earned 10 out of 10. Keep it up guys and congratulations on new hotel you’ve earned it

We were amongst the first few guests at this outstanding new hotel. The location is jaw-droppingly stunning in every direction with sea views on one side and lake/Mountain views on the other. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and high quality down duvet and pillows. The breakfast was excellent and the set 3 course menu was exceptional. The spa area is still in construction but we were sadly only there for a night so probably wouldn’t have had time to use it anyway. I have no doubt that it too will be superb when finished. I have no hesitation in recommending this new hotel to other travellers and will certainly return myself one day.

Brand new property. But not ready for guests! Want to get no sleep? Stay here No a/c, ok sure it's iceland. But average temp in room was 25, NO air circulation or fan in the rooms, window opens 2 inches to let in any fresh air. But, it doesn't have a screen on it. So enjoy the bugs! Also, if you want air flow from the window, you need to leave your curtains open. Guess what? It's 24/7 daylight !!! Good luck sleeping. This place is a disaster. It should not be open at all and staff need alot of training. Not very helpful and you have to walk around to find a front desk staff. Breakfast was ok. Hotel itself feels very "wannabe" high end. But finished are awful. It's like they ran out of money. Still under construction, so enjoy men walking around outside your open window. The only redeeming quality about this place is the location. That's it. Oh and don't expect a deadbolt on the door. Instead, anyone can access your door locking mechanism from the outside by using a simple tool and open your door! (Or adjoining room door) Eventually I'm sure it can ge good but right now, avoid this one! Also, most sites have plenty of fake reviews for this hotel. Notice all the "superb" reviews with 9 rating / single traveller. Yeah, not a coincidence.

Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sauber und bieten eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Einziges Manko, die Duschen. Es ist nicht möglich zu duschen, ohne das gesamte Badezimmer dabei unter Wasser zu setzen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist übersichtlich und bietet eigentlich für alle Geschmäcker etwas. An der ein oder anderen Stelle dürfte die Beleuchtung ein wenig heller sein, aber man gewöhnt sich daran.

Das Hotel ist neu, allerdings auch noch im Bau! Wir wollten an den Strand und mussten über eine Baustelle laufen. Wir bekamen auch ein Zimmer mit nicht so schönem Blick auf Rohre, Planen usw. - hier hätte das Hotel uns echt mal ein schönes Zimmer geben können, da wirklich kaum Gäste dort waren. Die Preise des Restaurants sind viel zu hoch! Spa-Bereich war noch nicht geöffnet und im Zimmer sind überall QR-Codes aufgestellt, mit den Preisen für die Annehmlichkeiten. Das die Minibar etwas kostet ist kein großes Ding, aber das Dental-Kit?! Da war ich dann doch etwas erschrocken. Zudem gab es in der Ecke auch nicht super viel. Die Zimmer sind schön und das Hotel wird sicherlich, wenn es fertig ist, schön sein, aber ich würde es trotzdem nicht mehr buchen.
