Relaxation

The location of the house was great. I would have preferred to have another full bath downstairs. There is a lot to do at the campground, but the streets were a little chaotic. There were too many children riding bikes and electric scooters and being careless. Many were riding in and out of the golf carts.

Perfect location and views

The location of this house can’t be beat. Beautiful ocean views and literally just steps from the beach. It was exactly as described in the posting. Ocean lakes is one of our favorite vacation spots. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that when I did a search on VRBO I specifically clicked the “hot tub” filter because my husband loves a hot tub and we were celebrating our anniversary along with my mom and daughter’s birthdays. This house popped up with the hot tub filter applied (and currently still does because I checked again after we got there), however it does not have hot tub. With that said, nowhere in the description does it mention a hot tub so maybe something is wrong with the search function. I will know to check more closely next time instead of relying on the filter.

Halloween at Ocean Lakes

This was a family planned trip, at the end it ended up being me and my 80-year-old mom. It was the perfect place; she cannot go like she used to. She has always loved the ocean; this house makes you feel as though you are sitting right on the ocean. The layout is perfect for a large group, although it was just the two of us. Deb had everything ready for us when we arrived, and was great to communicate everything ahead of time, so you are not waiting the day of for details, which made the travel day more relaxing. Unfortunately, we picked up a nail when riding to look at decorations in the golf cart. Let me say, I called Deb, and she immediately had the cart picked up and by the time we went exploring and came back, the cart was sitting there waiting and ready. Deb deserves a ten star, but they only allow five. Thank you, Deb, we hope to come stay again!

True Oceanfront

I truly loved this vacation home. It was as advertised and very convenient being right at the entrance to the beach with having small children with us. The house was beautiful and everything you could need was provided. I loved the deck just relaxing and looking out at the Ocean. Deb was very accommodating and even kept in touch after a bad storm where everyone lost power. This is the perfect home for a family vacation. Can’t wait to return again.

Great house and experience!

We’ve stayed in several of the true ocean front houses at Ocean Lakes and this house was far and away the nicest of the ones we’ve stayed in. You can tell that the owners have a lot of pride in their home and that they’ve worked hard to update it. Deb was easy to communicate with and timely with the check in information for Ocean Lakes. The house was well equipped and accurately represented in the posting. We enjoyed using the grill and we’re grateful that it was included! The house was clean, spacious, and cozy. It suited the needs of our extended family well. We would rent this house again without hesitation.

Not worth the cost

The exterior of this property is beautiful and it sits right on the ocean. It’s a shame that the owner has not updated the interior property and that it’s in such poor condition. First, our experience with the property owner. They did not give us codes to the house until we came into town, which makes it very worrisome that we will not be able to get into the house when we get there. They were much more concerned about getting IDs ages names, etc. versus making us feel welcome. For a typical expensive beach house the furniture was old, window treatments were falling off the walls, The pans in the kitchen are old and scratched and difficult to cook with. You can feel the coils in the beds and the mattresses are very old and stained. Old matted carpets in the bedrooms are also very disgusting. For the amount of money that we pay for oceanfront, we should have had a better experience. Don’t bother to rent the golf cart either. It’s very old, rusted, has transmission issues and shifts very poorly. Rent a golf cart from Ocean Lakes instead. Buyer Beware.

Great house

The beach house is great, location to the beach is great. Parking multiple large vehicles can be tight, but can be done! We had 10 people, house didn’t feel too small. It rained a bit while we were there, so eating inside had to be strategic so the younger kids wouldn’t make a mess. Only gripes that the home owner has no control over, called the camp ground the day before to see how early we could get parking passes. They said anytime and that there was overflow parking that could be used until the house was ready, but there was no place to park. We slowly did our grocery shopping and the house was ready early! Also being close to the end of the pool season, staffing was limited so the pool or slides were not always open during their time frame. Had a great vacation! Would return again!

Beautiful & Convenient Location!

Beautiful location within Ocean Lakes with spectacular views. Beach access is directly across from the property making it convenient. The house has everything you need for a vacation. Deb was great to work with and answered all questions promptly. Would highly recommend this property.

Family friendly beach retreat.

I tend to be very scattered brained and Deb was incredibly helpful in the whole renting process. She was very timely in her communication and beyond helpful with walking me through the steps. I can not even begin to put into words how perfect the house was for our mixed age party of 9. The decor added to the whole beach vibe...not that u couldn't just walk out the back patio door to see the beach/ocean or be on the beach in seconds. The location was fabulous. Very short drive to many attractions and resturants, if you aren't just wanting to relax at the beach/house. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc...We were able to cook almost every meal at the house(we chose to eat out twice). The campground has so many activites on site that we really didn't have to go anywhere else if we didn't want to. I can not say enough good things about Deb and her beautiful home. It was definetly our home away from home for the week. I am forever grateful for the wonderful experiences and memories we were able to create due to being able to rent Deb's home. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if I am fortunate enough to make a return trip.

Amazing house!

This home is amazing! We have stayed in this house multiple times. I Have zero issues with this home. This stay was for our beach wedding so we rented both of her beachfront homes for us and our family. These houses made our wedding much more amazing. You wont regret staying here!
