Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time with family. We were pleased with the rental house. The decor was very updated. The location was great. There were two broken chairs at the dining table that we could not use but other than that the house was great and would definitely Rent it again. This was our first year at the beach for the 4th of July. The golf cart parade was fun and the fireworks were awesome.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had plenty of room for our 4 families. Each bedroom with its own bath is a big plus. Great location. My only complaint was the dishwasher didn’t work. Nobody wants to do dishes on vacation lol. We called the maintenance dept twice, but it wasn’t a priority.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our house was absolutely perfect for our multi-family home. Everything was stocked, plenty of towels and beds to sleep in. They upgrade the small couch from the pictures to a comfy sectional. The kitchen chairs could use tighten up and the palm tree by the pool makes a mess but we just sprayed it off with the hose everyday and it was fine! We would definitely rent this home again. Close to everything!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the house and close proximity to the beach!! Having the pool was so much fun! I have two recommendations. I would add more silverware. Not enough basics like forks and small spoons for the number of people the house accommodates. Also, the pool itself was clean and great but the decking around the pool was dirty with debris and weeds growing up in the cracks of the patio. You could tell it had not been swept good in quite a while. Over in the corners a lot of debris built up and under the lounge chairs there were cobwebs hanging. The decking going up the stairs also showed a lot of aging. Actually, one of the boards under the steps in front of the pool pump was broken in half. Overall, great stay and experience. Would definitely stay again!

Dirty Actually Ours

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, we were told house had just been cleaned for our arrival and the inspector would stop at house to confirm. Upon arrival, the house had not been cleaned at all! Carpets not vacuummed, bathrooms not cleaned, food on walls in living room, pool had not been cleaned, etc. The inspector stayed and ended up starting to clean himself until another cleaning team arrived. They did a good job cleaning, but we could not use house for 4 hours after arrival while cleaning was occurring. One of the dining room table chairs was damaged (identified by cleaning staff) and was suppose to be fixed by maintenance. After several calls, was promised chair would be repaired, but was never repaired during stay. To top it off, when I sent email that didnt want to be responsible for damage when we left, management asked us to go by their office to fill out documentation! Why should I waste my vacation time because agency couldnt do their job!

Perfect for Us

It has everything we need and the location is great. We love the porches and the pool and the location to the beach. Also the great eating places within walking distance. The inside furnishings (especially the recliners) are so comfortable as are the beds! The owner and Garden City Realty are very nice to work with. We hope to continue renting there for years to come. It’s perfect for us!

Only issue we had was with the freeze and ice maker not working but after I called they came and fixed it. Definitely will keep this house in mind for our next trip.

The downside was, the house had lots of little issues like some furniture falling apart, a number of light bulbs that need to be replaced etc. A little TLC could take it up a notch.

We intend to continue to vacation in Surfside Beach. Surfside Beach and the neighboring communities were amazing. It offered the quaint beach atmosphere while offering an abundance of activities only minutes away. Actually Ours was an amazing vacation rental. It offered everything we needed in a vacation home. It was very clean and had all of the necessities of home. We highly recommend this area and property to anyone looking for a relaxing and fulfilling vacation.

I wish I had been notified that the clothes dryer was broken so I would have known to bring more clothes and the pool was not very clean even after I talked to the pool man it still was not cleaned very well and there are no lights in or around the pool

I wish it was Actually Ours!

Reviewer Comments: So we started off the day before we were supposed to be at our vacation house with a call from the realty company that our house we had last year and scheduled to be there the next day had water damage from an AC leak and couldn't be repaired in time. We were sent pics of several similar units and we made the best choice we could looking at the pictures. We dreaded not having the house from last year...However we got there and the house was wonderful - definitely tons nicer than the pictures that were online. Very well decorated, lots of little extras (games, books, videos, beach and pool toys) The salt water swimming pool was fantastic also! We definitely had a great week and didn't want to leave!
