"We loved the size of the double room en suite overlooking the countryside. We loved being in such an old building, and the way they decorated the walls with local historical significance. To think my ancestors may have entered this place through the generations."

"The house is spotlessly clean and it’s very well laid out , from arriving and getting key ( a lovely lady answered the bell and advised how to get the key ) . You get in as is very clean , it has 4 double rooms and one shared shower/toilet , very impressive with the lay out . I would 100% recommend and book again"

"We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. "

"The Claremont offers clean, comfortable accommodation and ideally placed just a few minutes walk from the harbour and fishing village of Polperro. It has it's own car park, and although it doesn't have a 24/7 reception, it'll provide you with a code to get back into the hotel if you go out. "Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"
