"I picked this cabin for the proximity of several hiking locations. Perfect location to enjoy Garner State Park, Lost Maples Natural Area, the Frio and several local hiking/ biking areas. The room was super clean. Exactly as pictured. Mattress was very comfortable and the extra blankets came in handy on a 35 degree night. Great views from the porch and around the property. "The place is falling apart and not as pictured. The grass is overgrown; the air conditioner was not running upon arrival (it was 80 degrees outside) and it smelled musty inside. The camper seems to be falling apart....weather stripping falling off, blinds did not work, bedroom blinds were broken and had a nasty looking brown something (blood or poop...who knows) across it. Did not stay the night; left and paid for a different place on the gulf."

"The house is a cute set up. However, the listing does not say it’s across the street from a cemetery and church. The house was not very clean, and items left for guests like wash cloths, trash bags, towels are very limited. In the case of the trash bags & toilet paper the bags are thin and small even in the kitchen and don’t fit the trash can. The toilet paper is one ply. The bed was messy when we checked in. Grass burs on the floor. "

"The hotel is clean and looks nice, however, I don’t think it’s worth the price, specially given that they overcharge for every additional detail beyond the basics: $40 for checking in before 4pm even if a room is just sitting there empty, and $69 per night for parking. Their inflexibility gives the guest a sense of hostility instead of a friendly welcome. I found the front desk service to be very mechanical, thus missing the human touch that any hotel, but more so a “luxury” hotel, should have. Even the valet parking attendants seem a bit aggressive. There are some details inside the room that are a bit run down (some furniture, the bathtub). I later stayed at a Drury hotel near the airport and the front desk service was much more welcoming and it is also newer and clean."
