"It was very hot and although we knew there was no air conditioning no fans were available and the rooms have shutters so it isn’t possible to block out the light and get air into the room at the same time. There was also a power cut early in the morning for over an hour but no one was available to speak too."

"When we arrived the owner greeted us and showed us to a lovely room we had booked, we only stayed the one night en route to our holiday destination and found the room clean and very comfortable . we were given lots of local information to find a bistro in the local town of Aunay sur Odon. The breakfast was well received and presented in a pleasant manner by Thom who was charming . we will have to come again next year and well worth a visit especially for a qiuck over night and as in our case...

"Small rooms…little room for two suitcases. Basic but adequate breakfast. Easy location…easier to drive to town center. Good for night before WWII beaches. AC not very strong. Noise could be heard from outside hotel (guests watch TV, horses at vet clinic) and inside (kids on a field trip enjoying the next room over!) Adequate, but nothing special."

"Very clean, modern hotel. Very comfortable and cool with air conditioning, during a heat wave. Hot shower felt amazing after a long trip! Delicious breakfast in the morning with many wonderful options! Highly recommend Holiday Inn Express, Caen!"
