This cozy little house on the water was perfect for me and my son, his wife and baby for a long weekend while visiting family in the area. Our host Angie was very accommodating as we had to change our reservation twice due to weather. The house itself is super cute - a creative makeover from what it once was, a seafood business on one of the waterways leading to the ICW. If you love to boat or fish - this place is golden! Even if that’s not your thing, I really enjoyed mornings watching the various species of waterfowl fishing as the tide came in over coffee. The house itself is wonderfully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped for entertaining. We hosted a dinner for 10 total with family in the area one evening without any issues at all. There is a large charcoal grill/smoker on the deck and plenty of outdoor furniture to sit and eat or just enjoy the view. The beds were very comfortable too. Our host included thoughtful touches like toilet paper and paper towels, hand and dish soap and detergents so we did not have to buy those items. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

My husband is in his early 80s and has mobility issues due to a knee problem. I searched everywhere for a rental on the water where he could fish, as he cannot walk in sand and uses a rollator. This amazing property was perfect! We took two rollators, one for inside the house and another for the deck. He used his cane to get down the three simple steps with a handrail to the deck. We practically lived out there! Caught croaker and made fish tacos. I caught a few crabs off the floating dock but the current was a bit strong. There are two seafood markets within half a mile where we bought flounder, crabmeat and shrimp. Note that we fed a lot of shrimp to small hungry fish! His bedroom had an en-suite bathroom with a step in shower. I used the second bedroom, with another bathroom with a step in shower right outside the door. There was plenty of room for him to navigate around the house with his rollator, and entering the house from the parking lot is easy too...no steps. We took a folding fishing chair with arms. The mattresses were top notch! My back felt great in the mornings. The location is very quiet and peaceful with a lovely marsh view. We waved at kayakers and fishermen as they passed by. This stay was for our 45th anniversary and I have already booked a week in the spring for his 83rd birthday. The owner Angie is phenomenal at communication! We were sorry not to meet her, but maybe next time. I already have friends with mobility issues asking for the VRBO link.

Perfect place to relax and recharge! Clean and comfortable home over the water that lets you basically roll out of bed and do a little fishing. Big kitchen bar and table to spread out snacks and puzzles. Comfy sitting area with tv and beautiful view out every window. This was our second stay and about to rebook for next year. Love this place!

Enjoyable Stay

Nice place to stay. Pretty much anything needed is on hand. Well stocked with the basics and more. Highlight of the stay was the deck and the fishing opportunities it provides. There are large fish here of all types all within casting distance. Planning to return as soon as practical.

Family fishing trip

The house was just as listed. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. We only left the property to go to beach- 15 min drive. The morning sunrise is beautiful. We will be back!
