The stay here was absolutely worth every dollar spent and every second shared with my husband and those adorable little farm animals. We were delighted by their antics and their sweet demeanor. We looked forward each morning and night to walk out and feed them carrots, apples, celery and kale. The baby goats were my favorite as well as a goat named Rochelle, she was the sweetest little thing. My husband loved the donkeys and how they smiled really big every time for a snack. It’s a definite must stay if you’re in the area for sure. Especially if in need of a quiet retreat bundled with laughs and furry love to help you forget about the busy life you may have driven/flown in/escaped from.

Perfect location to Boone, Banner Elk and several other towns. Clean, welcoming, charming. The animals were an added bonus, we spent hours with them. They love greens and carrots. We enjoyed every moment we spent here.

Family vacation

This was our 2nd summer here and plan to return again next year! The animals, of course, are the highlight of the trip. We also love having a flat yard for my grandchildren to run and play. The cabin is clean and comfortable with easy access to Boone. We love it!

Amazing Stay

This was our third time booking this cabin, and it was amazing! The kids adored the animals and had such a great time feeding them and loving on them. Our son did not want to leave and begged us to book again for his birthday. Such a wonderful place to stay.

Absolutely Magical Stay

The beauty of this property immediately draws you in and oozes relaxation. Immaculate/ tastefully and comfortably furnished . Great outdoor space and cozy inside. The animals are the sweetest and we enjoyed spending time feeding them. The hot tub was wonderful. Location was great! Close to Boone, Blowing Rock as well as grandfather mountain and the winery. Communication was very thorough and quick to respond. Highly recommend this property!

Great Self-Care Weekend

I had such a great experience at the cabin. The animals were loving and entertaining. Loved the carrots that I brought them and Sir Henry made sure I was awake with his song in the morning. I was able to spend my time reading in the sunroom or on the hammock and watching March Madness while lounging in the hot tub. The only downside was the occasional noise of a distant neighbor shooting their gun, but this only occurred a few times in the day. Overall an amazing experience that I would be happy to repeat!

The animals steal the show.

Nice, older, clean cabin. Very comfortable and within 20mins to Boone. Private setting with your own petting zoo. Our kids (and us) loved the animals. They are very docile and learn the have the routine down pat. T-Mobile reception was fine. All the supplies (except food) you need. Hint: there are more supplies under the island. Comfy furnishings and neat older antiques. reasonably close to Blowing Rock, Beech, and Sugar mtn. Hot tub was clean and offers a unique opportunity to star gaze. We had a great time during a snowy weekend.

Wonderful experience

This is the second time we've stayed at Mountain Magic. We had some issues with the weather, but Connie was easy to reach and helpful in helping us address the issues we'd run into (a dead car battery).The cabin was clean and my daughter adored the petting zoo and romping around in the snow. We'll definitely be back

Pretty Cool Place for Christmas

we had a great day at the cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub. Loved the fireplace but assumed there would be some wood available that we did not have to purchase. The kitchen needs a little updating of appliances and utensils. There is no need for 50 glasses and plates. We loved feeding the animals… even loved the rooster that crowed like clockwork at 5:00 AM.Did not like that there is a neighbor where three dogs incessantly barked anytime we were outside. Overall, had a fantastic time!

Great choice!

we truly got more than we expected. It was absolutely beautiful and clean. The beds were so comfortable. I couldn’t believe how spacious the rooms were. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the petting zoo and the animals were super friendly,. The containment area for all the animals was kept extremely clean as well. I really can’t say enough nice things about or stay there and we look forward to going back again next year for our annual winter vacation.

Birthday Getaway!

I took my Fiancé here on a surprise 3 night vacation and it was absolutely amazing. Everything about the cabin was perfect and so charming and rustic. The petting zoo was such a beautiful addition and was a highlight of the stay! The hot tub was great for the cold November mornings and evenings. We will be coming back and trying out Connie’s other properties! Thank you so much for the magical experience!
