But when we went to the area, we were told that children are not allowed. "Lovely hotel and bar area with great staff. Downside is that my room i dixated pri ate bathroom which I took to be ensuite but was separate from my room. The restaurant was closed on a Tuesday and I specifically book at hotels with a restaurant. I could not find anywhere online where this was indicated. I ordered myself a curry takeaway but had to eat in in my room as not allowed to bring food onto property to eat. So a bit awkward. Also first time I have stayed in a hotel where no wifi in...

"Relaxed dining in the bar, plus option to eat in the more formal dining room. Good outside table area. Great relaxing lounge with comfortable chairs and attentive staff. This an older character building with some very interesting features, but is reasonably well maintained. Have now stayed here four times and will definitely be returning."

Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely large patio, plenty of outside comfortable seating with marvellous views across the gardens.
