CAUTION to future renters: My family and I checked in to said Sudbury property and less than 18 hours into our stay we vacated the property.Very significant health and safety concerns were identified and were dismissed by both VRBO and the property manager. We spent 4000 for a nightmare.My Senior father noticed water on the floor beside his bed in the basement in the first evening. This led to a thorough look through the house. The floor was sweating from the heat and humidity and lack of ventilation in the bedroom. The odor wad intolerable.The water, humidity and heat were unbearable for my parents and they weren't able to spend the night in the bedroom. Although advertised as 4 bedrooms, the basement bedroom is NOT legal. The non emergency line I called, advised us to vacate immediately and get a refund.There is mould on the surface of every baseboard, see attached pictures. There is ONE working smoke alarm on the top floor and the fire extinguishers have not been properly tagged to show inspection.This property does not have adequate cooling for summer heat. Only a small standing fan is provided, even in the large rooms.I addressed my concerns with the property owner, including the rental of an ILLEGAL bedroom and he dismissed me, refused a refund, and ghosted my texts. I asked for a refund because this is an inhabitable space and he declined, citing VRBO cancellation policies.I asked him to come in person to see the property and he refused.
