Beautiful cabin but property management was lacking

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful cabin and amenities, however one of the room sheets were clearly dirty, one of the bathroom toilet was not cleaned and nobody cared to check before we arrived that the internet is not working. Considering there is very limited cellular service we were pretty isolated with no wifi, tv and very spotty service with 45+ minutes away from nearest city and crazy roads

Great .Some people would not like it because of the loaction and getting there. Perfect for us . 4

Just right for us. My buddies from Ala.and Tenn. Central loction We did alot of trout fishing.4 streams to fish.This was our fishing trip we have been fishing and hunting togethet for 35 years.

Clean and beautifully decorated very comfortable with all the amenities needed for our weekend stay. We had wonderful weekend celebrating our grandson birthday, fishing, floating the river. The hot tub was a treat after a day out on the river. We are already planning our next visit.

Relax and Recharge

My family and I were looking for a place to relax and to enjoy some quiet time together. This property offered all of that and more. We loved sitting by the fire at night listening to the river flowing in the background. The house was amazing, comfortable beds, plenty of room to sit and watch tv together. We definitely accomplished our goal for this trip

Relaxing Get Away

Delightful location with river access steps away from the back deck. A bit cool during our stay but we planned ahead and loaded up with wood before we arrived to use around the fire pit.

Roomy, Clean, and plenty of Parking!

House was super clean with plenty of room and there’s actually room for multiple vehicles. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a large house. The location is perfect. Quiet and the sound of the river flowing will put you to sleep.

The house was beautiful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion is to tell people in your description that you need an SUV or all-terrain vehicle. Had we not had 4-wheel drive, we would not made it to the house - or down the drive. They are doing some work with a back-hoe on the road and it was daunting to get to the house. Also, the house is not marked well. We got there after dark due to heavy traffic and literally it took 30 minutes for us to find which house we were to be at. The sign "River Haven" needs to be much closer to the road and lit somehow. Lights were on - which we appreciated. But the next day in the daylight when we saw the true condition of the road, it was pretty scary to think about coming in pitch black dark. But the house itself couldn't have been better. You can tell someone has put a lot of thought and effort in making it welcoming and comfortable.

Would be a great place in the summer to relax in river . Cooper Creek store is a couple miles from the cabin if you needed any necessities or something to eat . Several wma’s near for fishing as well. Only thing the cabin needed was some hot pads and dish towels , other than that A . Highly recommend for a nice quiet place to unwind. Great communication with the staff at GMR.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything is actually as advertised. The cabin was super clean and had all the things we needed for a week long stay in the mountains. The cabin is on a beautiful secluded spot right on the river. Another great characteristic about this cabin is the parking. I’ve stayed at several other locations with barely enough parking for one vehicle. We had four full sized trucks, two 16’ trailers and there was still more room. This is the perfect space for a week of motorcycling in the area. We will be back!!

Suches River Haven

Very nice home on a peaceful river in Suches, GA. The kitchen had a full complement of dishes and cutlery. There were all the appliances you have back home. 4 bedrooms, including two lofts, were comfortable. The master bath has an upgraded walk-in shower. The deck has a screened porch, a hot tub, and a gas grill. The home has a nice creek in the front yard, perfect for tubing. A swallow has made its home above the hot tub, providing entertainment as the pair feeds their chicks. Location is down a country gravel road, with great walks right out the front door. The Chatahoochie Natl Park and Sea Creek Waterfall are nearby. Overall, an excellent rental.

Unsettling neighbor

Unsettling neighbor will get upset if you approach the property line. No toaster and a lack of glassware. Plenty of old plastic cups. A secure trash bin outside would be good. Keeping full trash bags in the house is not a great option. Flapping metal roof section kept many of us up at night. Please fix that before the next renter.

We had a Great time and enjoyed being away from everyday life Nice and clean and plenty of room for our group. We loved that we had plenty of sits on the porch's and by the fire pit. we brought our cornhole boards and played. We had a great time and will differently plan another trip here. The Staff were very easy to work with and called to check on how things were on the morning after we arrived and when we had an issue we called, and it was made right. The propane tanks were both empty and we had to go get one exchanged. it wasn't a big deal we just had to go to find a place that had exchange it and it was about 45 minute drive each way.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nestled in a well maintained yard surrounded by the river. What else could you possibly want. You are one with nature. Every morning, coffee in the screen room, evenings on the rockers watching a million fireflies light up the yard, and the stars....... Magical. I got to watch phoebes grow and leave their nest, the swallows visited every night to roost. The hot tub a huge plus. Walking to the nearby overlook at sunset. I have never been more at peace. The house is well equipped and maintains a cabin charm. The only thing I wanted was a small plug in fan when sitting in screen room. You have to want to be secluded because you do have to plan trips to grocery stores. We love private and secluded so this place was a dream. There are cabins around you at a distance but no one was there. The day we left, the family directly across the river arrived so I don’t know what it would be like to have people around during the stay. Can’t say enough about this slice of heaven.

Had potential, but was semi disappointing! We have stayed in VRBO and Airbnb rentals all over the country, and have never left a review with any negatives. There were to many issues with this property not too. Most of these issues isolated wouldn't have been a huge deal.Upon arrival the yard and driveway yard were completely flooded, due to a water hose that was left on. Within 30 minutes we noticed the hot tub was unplugged. It didnt heat up enough to use until 9pm on the final night of our 3 night stay. Next, we settled in on the dusty, cob web filled screend in porch. Our young boys playing barefoot with their hotwheels came across a broken light bulb on the porch deck, that had shattered glass scattered on the porch. The side portion of the porch had several loose boards, and a handrail that is ready to give way. The grass was unkept, which only added to the gnats. The bank of the river hasn't been weedeated most likely since last year. While helping my son fish on the bank, I had a rattlesnake that was hidden in the 18" tall grass slither across the back of my foot.The upstairs bathroom shower leaked into the downstairs hallway after my mother in law took a shower. Lastly, we kept noticing the noise as traffic went by and thought it sounded like a window was open, but knew we hadn't opened one. After further investigation, on the last night, we found both windows in the master bedroom open at the top. We attempted to close them, but were unable to keep them closed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was quiet and peaceful, the house was comfortable. I am going to list some negatives to explain the “3” ratings. The disappointments we experienced were not the fault of GMR or of the home but of my lack of familiarity with the area. There was simply not enough to do without an hour or more driving each way. And the heavy rains made the driving quite nerve-wracking. We’ve been taking our granddaughters to the mountains (NC and WVa) for 12 summers and we’re used to pop-up showers. These were torrential downpours almost every day and several nights. I’ll look into climate averages next year. Specific reasons for average review: cushions on screened porch furniture were so musty and dank that we never used the area. Kitchen had enough cookie sheets for a bakery but not one casserole dish. Flatware was ridiculously thin, small and flimsy. One dish towel was included. Picnic table and porch railings thickly crusted with bird poop with no good way to clean so never used. And though not to our taste, we got used to the bison head in the living room, the bear skin with head and paws over her bed really turned off granddaughters using that room. Me, too!On the plus side: the neighborhood was beautiful, we loved the river, and, while not as cool as we would have liked, the weather was a welcome relief from the heat and humidity of home. One last comment: for a place as remote as River Haven, a better supply of board games, maybe a selection of used paperbacks, and some kind of outdoor game would go a long way.
