Sugarloaf Weekend
My sister and I stayed here with my two pups for the weekend and caught a night show at Sugarloaf, which was a short 35 minute drive. This property was peaceful, quiet, clean and cozy. We had a relaxing Saturday of cooking, letting the pups play in the little creek and relaxing in the super cozy living room. We definitely want to go back for a weekend with our kids. It was a perfect weekend and an amazing property!

Sugarloaf Ski and Hike
Beautiful and spacious house and property. Only 15’ to Kingfield for food and groceries and 30’ to Sugarloaf mountain. Great hiking trails not too far. Loved our stay!

Wonderful home, great accommodations.
We really enjoyed our stay. Warm, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen provides everything one would need to prepare meals. After a long day on the slopes, this is the place for us. Excellent communication with host Christie. Definitely a top notch VRBO property. You won't be disappointed.

Great stay for sugarloaf trip
This was our second time staying here for a trip to sugarloaf. It is a beautiful house with lots to offer - full gym, full kitchen, wood stove, etc. Christie is a great host and is easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Maine cabin
Nice place, some areas could have been cleaner where there were mouse droppings/family room near TV. Lounge was so thick with cigar smoke couldn’t stand to be I. The room even after airing it for two days. Wi-Fi was out so no tv or Wi-Fi except one bar on the deck. Made it digitized find directions to anything. No information from owners such as a booklet with attractions, dining, grocery stores, etc. difficult when not from the area. No checkout instructions either. Beautiful setting nice home just some basic things all other places we have used through VRBO had available. Kitchen was well stocked.

It really is a beautiful vacation home
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. My 13 year old daughter, nine year old son, and two year-old German shepherd were completely in love with the place and it’s yard. My wife was as well, and we all marveled at the view of Mt. Abraham during the day, and the stars at night. We hiked for three days at various mountains in the area, and the location was perfect for activities all across the mountains of western Maine. Christie the owner was great. We would love to come back someday, perhaps in the winter

A nice place to stay on a rainy weekend
A beautiful location with plenty of room for togetherness or privacy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the game room due to the heavy cigar smell. We were able to have a fire Friday night and the skies cleared enough to see the stars and satellites passing by. We also, walked the Narrow Gauge Pathway. Tried to make it to Poplar Stream Falls, but too wet and muddy. Next time we'll bring our atvs.

Beautiful 2nd stay
Absolutely love this house and this setting. Hoping to return for a 3rd time next year. Great kitchen, great lower bathroom, amazing living room and deck. Excellent game room, comfortable bedrooms...just cant beat this if you want picturesque and quiet.

Utopia
Fantastic home with so many amenities. Many different type of heating options, snow removal was done prior to arrival despite the large amount of snow in the area. The recreation room is fantastic along with the sauna and shower. Jetted tub is fantastic. Would rent this home again in a heartbeat. Thank you Christie and Rick!

Great spot for a getaway weekend
Enjoyed the comforts and convenience of this beautiful home after long day skiing Sugarloaf. 40 minutes from the access road, and 15 minutes from Kingfield, we enjoyed being off the beaten path but with conveniences like restaurants and grocery stores nearby if needed. The home was well stocked and well prepared for our visit, hosts were communicative and even came by to plow the driveway after 10” snow fell while we were skiing. Thank you!

A perfect weekend retreat!
This was our second visit to Christie's gorgeous property in Maine and it was as lovely as our stay last year. A large, comfortable house located just 30 minutes from Sugarloaf Mountain at the end of a quiet, remote lane. It's perfect for getting away from it all. The large, well-stocked kitchen is great for cooking for the family, and the main floor bathroom with heated floors, a huge rain shower and infrared sauna is a highlight. We'll be back next year!

Beautiful home located between Sugarloaf and Saddleback
The home has more amenities than we had time to use. It was lovely and with four bedrooms and sizable common space, perfect for family gatherings or girl weekends! Being dog friendly only added to our positive experience. Everyone in our party loved it!

Vibrant home with breathtaking views
This serene home is surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Every morning, we couldn't wait to get to the deck and embraced the vibrant colors. Christie's home is situated in the area of mountains, lakes, brooks and waterfalls. During our stay, we hiked on tails to see Moxie Falls, Smalls Falls, Cascade Stream Gorge,, Mooselookmeguntic lake, Reed Brook Falls, Screw Augar Falls, etc. Thanks to Christie for such a memorable stay.

Perfect little escape
Couldn't have been better. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Had plans for sight seeing both days but decided to just hang out on the large porch with a lovely view and do some cooking in the very well equipped kitchen. Absolutely will return for another quiet getaway.

Amazing stay, thanks Christine!
The house is larger than the pics show. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. The deck is a beautiful spot to relax and gaze up the mountain. We didn't use most of the amenities as we were there for a short period of time hiking mt. Abraham, but I checked them out and the sauna was clean, fitness room was a nice touch, and the pool room (took a bit of searching for the door lol) looked like a fun place to hang out and have a drink and a cigar if you're into that sorta thing. Christine was a great host and if I am in this area again I would absolutely stay here again. Well worth the price! Note - come prepared with some food to cook at the house as places close early around the area.

Simply divine and dreamlike
My husband, two kids, our tripod dog and I were incredibly surprised when we pulled up to this beautiful spacious home. Everything from the gorgeous rustic red color of the house, to the design of the house, to the beautiful greens surrounding the spacious front and back yards, to the huge mountain back-drop. Then inside, there are endless rooms, fun spaces, a spa bathroom with 3-shower heads, a large second floor bathroom, incredible windows and views, vaulted ceilings in the huge cozy great room furnished with beautiful leather chairs and couches, a secretly-fun-hidden billiards table / bonus room, a gym, it went on and on. The beds and bedrooms were pristine, very comfortable, pretty, and spacious. The kitchen is gorgeous and stocked and clean and fun to cook in!! The location was a different kind of quiet. A friend responded to a bunch of pictures I posted, calling it “utopic”, and it was. The butterflies in the flower garden were amazing. A recommendation would be to add cooling units, be it extra fans, or a standing window AC unit that could be wheeled into whichever room it’s most needed in. We were lucky the weather/heatwave broke before our arrival, so it was ok! The master BR upstairs has an AC, though. We would love to return again! It was a fun home to spend time in!

Very special property
This is my second time at this lovely home. The view of Mt. Abrahms is spectacular and looks like the mountain is rising up from your yard. Close to Rangely Lake, Sugarloaf and the Carrabassett Valley, the location is ideal for exploring the western mountains. Mt. Blue state park has some wonderful walks. Christie is a terrific host -- and her home is very special. We will definitely be coming back.

Castle in the Woods
This was a great find! Excellent property that was clean, comfortable, and inviting. Very easy to communicate with the owner. It’s proximity to snowmobiling and Sugarloaf made it about as perfect of a week as it could be. I will be coming back!

The property is a true find. It's a lovely large house with personal touches and outstanding amenities. The infrared sauna was in particular a great perk after a day of skiing. Christie was quick to reply and very accommodating. The kitchen is fully stocked, and so much fun to cook in. They've thought of everything at this place! We will definitely be back.

Comfortably enormous getaway house !
We had an amazing stay at Christie’s gorgeous house in Maine. Would be perfect for large groups - 1st floor master and three bedrooms upstairs. There are plenty of gathering places, including a great room and the cigar bar / pool table room above the garage. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. There is a large exercise room in the basement and an infrared sauna and steam shower in the master bath. Outdoors there is a beautiful large deck with views of the Western Maine mountains. Kingfield is about a 10 minute drive with a small grocery and a few restaurants. We skied at Sugarloaf which is about a 30 minute drive. The property really shines as a get-away-from-it-all type of place. The WiFi was great; there were many games available for kids / families. Everything was sparking clean and Christie was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Excellence and solitude
Very nice home with all amenities. We like to cook our own meals on vacation and this kitchen made it easy while the dry sauna was very appreciated after a long day of Nordic skiing at the Outdoor Center at Sugarloaf. Amazing home with breathtaking views!!! A must if your looking for the perfect retreat!!
We had such an amazing time, the home is amazing!! Clean and breathtaking views. We felt right at home and enjoyed every minute that we were lucky enough to stay here. Would love to come back if you will have us again, I would love to share this home with my hubbyχldren. We did a “girls” weekend and had a blast, you don’t even need to leave the house, there is so much to do you loose time. Wish we stayed longer!!! Thank you so much for having us this weekend.

Great mountain home
This property was perfect for our mountain getaway. It was just 2 of us, but would have been perfect for a larger group as well. The kitchen was fully stocked making easy to cook dinner and pack lunches. The living room in particular was cozy and we loved the beams and Mountain View. The wood stove kept us toasty after a cold day of skiing.

Incredible home
The house did not disappoint from the moment we arrived. We wanted someplace to reconnect without having to leave and the home was perfect. We enjoyed the pool table and just the warmth of the home. The pictures don't do it justice. It is very close to both Rangeley and Sugarloaf, but far enough away that you're in your own world.

My wife, kids and I had a fantastic stay at Christie's awesome home in the woods. We loved the super comfy leather furniture in the great room, the amazing 1st floor shower, the sauna, the gym, and the wood burning furnace. Highly recommend!
