"Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered. The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. "The hotel has only been open for 3 weeks, which is probably 6 weeks too soon!! The room was not finished - locks missing on bathroom door (just a hole waiting for the lock); no curtains or blind in the lounge area - the hot sun blazed in throughout the day and neighbouring rooms could see in, and finally, no air conditioning - the control panels are there, but not connected to anything. I REPEAT ... NO AIR CONDITIONING. The day was very sunny and very hot and the room could not be cooled down...

"Having made a late booking we were delighted with the fast response from the host, Claire. The accommodation was clean, tidy and cosy on arrival. It was well equipped and spacious. We stayed for 4 nights and had dinner in the local pubs, all of which were friendly and great food. Our accommodation was handy to York, so great for getting around. We will be returning again in April and have booked to stay again with York Boutique Lets. Both Claire and Jo were exceptionally helpful."

"A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again."
