Great Condo with Perfect Location

This was our second stay this season. It was wonderful. The condo is clean, spacious, newly renovated, with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is perfect too. We have really enjoyed staying there. It's a perfect location, with easy access to all the Lodge has to offer as well as Stowe Mountain Resort.

Jan 2020 Stay

The property was beautiful, and exactly as described. The location is extremely convenient with a short walk to the Over Easy Gondola, and well situated to the ski valet, shops, pool and restaurants. Ray was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. We can’t wait to go back.

A Fantastic Place to Stay!

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a little more style this year, so we booked a weekend at Steps Away. It was so worth it! The unit had been newly renovated and the zen-like sophistication of the decor was beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean and sparkling. Luckily the snow was great for skiing, but there's so much more to do that we'll have to go back soon!

Perfect Place!

We had a terrific time at Steps Away. The unit is recently renovated and has large bedrooms and bathrooms and a nice kitchen and living area. It could not have been more comfortable for us, and we were happy having most of our meals there. Since it is part of the Lodge at Spruce Peak, you also get the amenities from the hotel, including room service and the ski valet. It was perfect!

Spruce Peak Ski Vacation

As good as it gets east of the Rockies or West of the Alps. Beautiful facility and quality staff. Solstice is a terrific on-site restaurant. Noah, Josh, Susan, Dawn, Brenda and many others contributed to many wonderful evenings of dining. Reni is an awesome ski instructor. Everything here is EXPENSIVE, but if you can afford the experience, you will likely not be disappointed.

Modern Three Bedroom Inside the Lodge

This is a beautiful modern unit inside the Lodge at Spruce Peak. There are three connecting bedrooms with a living room and kitchen. Plenty of amenities such as kitchen utensils, extra towels, blankets and pillows. The host has promptly responded to all of our requests including pre-ordering groceries. We've stayed here several times before and plan to return again.

Had a great time in this 3Bed/3bath property. Meticulous detail. Extremely clean. Wife and I in master, 2 daughters (11,13) shared another king bedroom, 16 yo son and his friend had room with 2 fulls. Great location, ski school and lift right outside door. Perfect week!

Wonderful Holiday Getaway

The location can't be beat. We always prefer ski-in/ski-out properties but the added benefit of being in the lodge and near everything allowed the children some independence and overall simplicity and flexibility. The dining choices were top notch and the host even recommended a few gourmet shop options with takeout family meals. The ski valet made things easy as well. The units are spacious and comfortable, very tasteful upgrades and a nice view. Washer/dryer and full kitchen was a welcome amenity! We will be back for sure!

Great Family Getaway

We have been to SML before but this was our first time staying in this unit. It was great. Ray was easy to deal with on the front end and the team from Stowe Country Homes was great after that. The unit is spacious and in terrific shape with a great view of Mt. Mansfield. The property was incredible as always - so many fun things to do in Stowe in the summer. In addition, the bell/valet team at SML is more friendly and knowledgeable than anywhere else I have stayed. Great service all around.

Perfect Condo in the Lodge

We’ve stayed at many rooms in the Lodge over the years but this one is among the most beautiful and spacious. It has a modern feel that is also warm and true to its mountain location. Ray and his team take care of every detail from extra towels and linens to a well equipped kitchen. The location inside the Lodge means that restaurants, spa and pool are just steps away. This is especially important on stormy days when driving could be treacherous. We also like that the fact we can let our kids out to explore the hotel on their own. Stowe is a special place and this is a perfect home. We hope to back soon.

Good times at Steps Away ...

Three moms and four boys stayed for the Stowe Lacrosse Festival for a long weekend. We had a blast. Plenty of room for the everyone to have some privacy and quiet, but lots of living space to prepare and eat meals, while enjoying the mountain view and the company of friends. I have a very high standard of accommodations, and everything was perfect, top shelf. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze, the room was in perfect condition (very clean), everything you see in the pictures represents honestly what you are getting. We went to the bar to wait for our friends, and ordered a delicious Vermont cheese plate and tried a great local beer. The pool and hot tub were a great time for all, we spent hours there. The hotel is truly remarkable because of the service. I loved that it was quiet at night, I never heard other guests. I could go on and on, and I hope to be back next year for the same weekend. Thanks Ray, we had a great time.

Ski Stowe

Exactly as described and pictured -- spacious, clean, excellent amenities with a fully stocked kitchen and baths (salt / pepper, oil, foil, dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, cooking utensils, pots and pans, trays, serving dishes, towels etc.) The kids stayed in the bedroom with two full size beds and they felt as if they had their own separate wing. The unit is part of ski-in / ski-out Stowe Mountain Lodge so full access to ski valet (storage of equipments, warm boots), pool, hot tub, spa, business center, restaurants, store (clothing and convenient items), children activities (laser tag, movies, outdoor marshmallow pit, ice slide etc.) and wonderful front desk, valet, parking and concierge staff. The offerings took the hassle out of skiing, allowing you to relax and spent time with family and friends. Owner and Rental Agents are super responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend it and hope to do it again!

The unit was as desrcribed, clean and comfortable. THere was one chair on the balcony for a 3 bedroom unit. Staying at this resort through VRBO is a little like being a step child. They make you aware at check in that you are on an "alternate reservation" There is an additional fee charged for everything including parking more than one car(Mandatory valet @$19.00/ day), housekeeping and gym entry. Each time you want to use your car you need to retrieve it from the valet(tips expected). Stowe Country Homes takes care of the rental of the property for the owner. They are very efficient at accepting payment but provide no service once you arrive. It is a lovely resort and unit but I am not sure this is the optimal way to visit the Stowe Mountain Lodge

Beautiful view, great location.

We rented the 3 bedroom condo set-up and it was exactly as described and very clean. It was very easy to fine and the management provided great directions. The main condo, plus the two adjoing bedrooms is an excellent environment for a large family or as us, 3 couples. Plenty of seating for relaxing or eating. The kitchen is well stocked for eating-in and there was plenty of games for keeping people busy, if you didn't want to go out or to sit and relax with the fireplace burning and a good book. There is a small patio with a couple of chairs for enjoying the morning air and coffee. The bedrooms were all very nice and the beds, pillows and baths were first class. The staff at the resort was very good, friendly and always willing to help, plus you have the use of the resort. The resort has valet parking only, but your rental car(1) is free. The owner and management company were great to work with and provided great communication. Great skiing area, hiking or biking. Golf course at the resort, but we didn't have time. Resort does offer the use of a vehicle for a limited time, which we greatly appreciated, as couples could do other things. We would definitely return to this unit, if ever visiting the area again.

A Wonderful Stay

Our family stayed at Steps Away at Stowe Mountain Lodge in early March. We had a wonderful time; the suite is beautiful, spacious and well appointed. The family room furniture was very comfortable and there was a nice large TV. The kitchen table and chairs were also very comfortable. It really is a five star resort and unit. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large with separate tubs and walk in showers. The fixtures, tile and woodwork throughout the condo were lovely. As for the resort itself, it was fantastic. We ate at the Solstice restaurant one night and at the Cliff House Restaurant at the top of the mountain on Saturday night. It was nice riding the Gondola up in the evening. We were not all skiers so that gave us a chance to enjoy the views and the stars at night. The meals were delicious at both restaurants. We also enjoyed the Hourglass bar in the evenings and that had a nice crowd with live piano music playing in the background. For lunch we ate a few meals at the Great Room Grill which is a cafeteria style with help yourself stations. They had so much to choose from and the food was very good. The valet service was fabulous; our car was always available when we called for it and everyone was very polite and attentive; as they were throughout the resort. At the end of each day it was nice to go back to our suite and unwind in such a nice home away from home.

Ski Vacation

This is a great property, and we would stay again. The Lodge is a great location for family trips. The three adjoining rooms, each with their own door and bathroom worked great for us so the teen girls, teen boys and Parents could enjoy some quite time when needed but gather in the central kitchen, dining, and family room. The owner was communicative and helpful. Only negatives I can say was that at this price-point you would not expect to pay for daily parking and the hallways can get loud… just the cost of being at the Lodge. Great property, highly recommend.

Family/friends ski

Family and friends quick ski trip was a blast. Room for everyone and fully equipped with everything you might need. Last day was a ski bust, but still enjoyed our time with the pool and game room/arcade. Service in the restaurants was ok, the food was good and everyone was very nice. The host was great to communicate with. Definitely recommend and will re-book if we come back to ski Stowe.
