"Lovely hotel off the beaten track, but within short distance of Newmarket Racecourse. Booked a standard double but Daisy the very helpful Receptionist upgraded the room to a Superior King. The room was large and very clean and the bed was comfortable. As an added bonus the bathroom had a spa bath which was amazing! Breakfast was good but the afternoon tea was fantastic! Fresh sandwiches, warm scones and delicious cakes and a bottomless teapot! Did not have dinner in the restaurant and...

"The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou!
