Everything was perfect from the first communication to the surprise piece of apple pie upon arrival. The room was cozy, comfortable and had every amenity, even bowls for my pet and a play-ball. It was truly a joy to stay at the Carriage House.

My husband and I stumbled across this gem in our search for accommodations for a last minute road trip along the New England coast. Debbie and Paul have put much thought and consideration into every detail for a relaxing and comfortable stay for their guests from the cute, cozy, (very) clean, and well equipped rooms to the lovely decorated, relaxing lawn with plenty of seating, games and an inviting fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (and the delicious homemade apple pie!) in the Salty Sailor room at the Carriage House.

One of the nicest places that we have stayed in. Every possible comfort. Old Mystic is lovely-much quieter than the seaport. We prefer it to the port. Our dog Ripley loved the abundant green space next to the house.

Debbie (and Paul too) are the perfect hosts. The Carriage House is conveniently located in Historic Mystic and is a home away from home. Their hospitality didn't just stop with us, but included our little pup with his own welcome basket. The property is quiet, peaceful and only a few miles from the Oldest Cider Mill in the US. The Carriage House is definitely a place that we will return to in years to come. Thank you so much

Lots of pleasant surprises! We were impressed with the many unexpected conveniences. We were looking for a place to crash when we weren’t either at the beach in Rhode Island or dining in Mystic. Debbie did a great job outfitting the space with everything you might need for a day at the beach even a cooler! The yard had a fire pit with very comfortable deck chairs as well as cornhole game set up. Everything in the room was clean and well stocked Debbie was on point with communications and overall we were very happy with our stay.

It was a very cute place to stay! We had a personalized bite for us upon arrival, as well as freshly baked apple pie slices! Extra travel amenities were in the bathroom. Very clean! It was exactly what we needed for a night away!! Thank you again!

What an amazing stay!!! We definitely found a gem … I almost hate to give such a great review because we won’t find rooms next time!!! Debi has thought of everything - the room was outfitted with all the little touches… mugs, glasses and wine glasses are provided and she even had a terrific makeup mirror in the bathroom … the bed was sooo comfy and we enjoyed relaxing in the wing chairs at night - we were the only ones staying at the beginning of the week and we enjoyed breakfast out on the small table outside of our room… it’s located in a quiet neighborhood which we absolutely loved and it was very centrally located - we got to everything in 5 min or less … loved the keyless entry so that we didn’t have to remember to bring a key … everything was very well planned for an easy and enjoyable stay! We are already planning our next stay… thanks again Debi!!

Reliably Friendly, Welcoming and Cozy.

This was our fifth visit to our favorite place to stay in the Mystic area. It's combination of hospitality, comfort and affordability can't be beat. Debbie (and Paul) are so accommodating and even allowed us to plug in our Level1 EV charger to help us out. Just the kindest hosts. We recommend the Carriage House to all our friends.

Quick getaway to visit family

We stayed in the salty sailor. When we arrived there was some apple pie waiting. This room was super cute and soooo many little touches to make your stay that much better. I can't wait to come back with my husband to check out the area.

We loved this property. The room was perfect, the bed super comfortable, the shower and water pressure were great, decoration very charming, and everything exactly as advertised. Communication with Debbie was very easy and timely. The outdoor grounds were really nice, and if the weather had been better we would have spent more time there…. Next time! One thing we really appreciated was the many little, thoughtful touches that were just nice and welcoming, and set this property apart from a lot of B&B type properties we visit: For instance, we love our coffee… and it was not only well stocked, but there was a little pitcher of cream in the fridge. There was some fresh apple pie in the room (!), tons of towels, and even some charming music playing when we arrived. Definitely a good value and we would love to stay here again if we’re in the area. Can’t say enough about how nicely Debbie made this experience!

Perfect for a long weekend

My partner and I booked an overnight stay at The Salty Sailor. Leading up to our visit, Debbie shared a lot of helpful info about local attractions and restaurants, in addition to thorough details about our accommodation itself. We loved the cozy, quaint feel of the space–upon stepping in for the first time, we felt instantly comfortable and at home. Everything was meticulously prepared and there was a personalized greeting card as well as slices of apple pie left out for our arrival.We had everything we needed for our stay, and would recommend it to anyone for a getaway to Mystic.

So adorable and quaint!

Arrived 4 hours earlier and my communication wasn't clear as I was replying to a computer generated email and the messages didn't make it. I wanted to know what an early check in would have cost and there was reception issues but we ended up paying for a whole other day. That was the only hiccup! This place was absolutely more than advertised! This gem was quiet, a place to walk my dog who was with us for a wedding and decorated beyond words and certainly thought. The pie along with all of things that you may have forgotten and coffee, tea, fridge etc were so helpful! I have referred my friends there to send people to this charmer!
