"The listing indicated pets were welcome and we were able to bring our 13 year old dog, who loves traveling with my husband and I. There was some initial confusion after we booked the Schoolhouse, saying pets are prohibited. Through contact with the host, it was cleared up pretty quickly. All in all, the place was comfortable and we had what we needed to cook a couple of meals. I loved the area and enjoyed walking our dog on the state-maintained back roads. "It was fun being in the center of town! We walked to coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The Greenway was a pleasant way to wind down the day…with a pleasant walk along the creek. The house is only a few miles from Luray Caverns which we visited one afternoon. It is also a short drive to Shenandoah National Park.
