We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen was well equipped and we found everything we needed with ease. The beds were comfy and there was ample space in the living area for everyone to get cozy. The view is gorgeous and there are a lot of birds to enjoy watching.The hosts were very welcoming and sent a text to ensure everything was to our liking and offering cell numbers in case of anything.We are already thinking of coming back in the summer next year to spend some time in the lake.

The house is beautiful, everything was in top working order. The neighbor was a bit abrasive. The cottage was advertised as pet friendly so we brought our dog. The second we got out of our truck the neighbor stomped over and told us that we need to have our dog on a leash at all times. Our dog is an old German Shepherd who has trouble walking and rarely leaves my side. My husband was angered by the abrupt intrusion which stressed me and my daughter out. It added a layer of stress that wasn't necessary or warranted. A proper fence would make this cottage a 5* stay

The cottage was nice, but the beds were aweful. Not very comfortable for adults or the bunk beds either. I had to go buy a sponge to soften the bed. The lake was nice being close to the cottage, not a whole lot of walking. Hosts were good.

Varty lake cottage - perfect fall escape

This cottage is a perfect location to enjoy nature and go slow. The lakefront area is perfect for a bonfire night and enjoy the sound of water and falling leaves. The cottage is very clean and updated - you have everything for your kitchen, ample space for two small families. The owner is very prompt in his responses and helped us in sending back the items we left in the cottage. The listing was accurate and we will definitely recommend our friends if they want to book a cottage.

Friendsgiving Weekend

As someone in the travel industry, I have high standards for accommodations, and this lake house exceeded them! The property was spotless, recently updated with all the modern conveniences, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Although we didn’t use the many water toys due to the season, we’re already planning a summer trip to make the most of them. The hosts were outstanding—responsive and easy to communicate with. Spending time with amazing friends in such a beautiful setting made the trip even better. I highly recommend this property for a memorable stay!

Family Gathering

Pretty much as advertised. Beautiful lake view. The cottage is nicely furnished and decorated. The property is long but narrow, so the neighbours are closer than you'd expect in a cottage setting and you can hear their conversations when outside. Pet-friendly means dogs are allowed but must be on leash or tied up when outside and aren't permitted on the furniture. While not unreasonable, knowing this in advance may have influenced our decision to book, as we were travelling with 2 dogs. This was exacerbated by my failure to check (either because I didn't see it or it got unchecked through a form validation error) the Travelling with Pets checkbox. Thus I was not advised of these restrictions until check-in and the neighbour yelled at us as we were unloading the car and one of the dogs strayed onto her property, which is not separated by a fence.

Had everything you need and more

This property has everything you need supplied. All you need to bring is your personal belongings and your groceries. Rooms were all tastefully decorated and all the appliances were new and up to date. Danielle was great had to call her a couple of times to ask questions and answered right away. Lake was warm enough to swim even in beginning of June. Loved that we could bring our fur baby with us. If you need groceries you will have to drive into town we didn't find anything close to us. Loved being close to Kingston and surrounding areas to go and do the bigger things and explore only 30 minutes drive. Danielle and Ivan had everything were needed and more. Glad we rented this property.

Amazing stay

We recently stayed here with our small family and two fur babes. Beautiful cottage with stunning views and everything you need to make your trip memorable. Cottage is very clean and Ivan and Danielle were very helpful in answering all our questions and providing us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. Cottage is surrounded by beautiful little towns to explore… highly recommend this cottage.

Most wonderful lake house , great fun for the family !

We genuinely enjoyed every minute of our stay at the lake house ! Communication with Ivan was exceptional , directions for everything were very clear and easy to follow. The house was clean , mattresses very comfortable ( fold out couch surprisingly also very comfortable!). The kitchen had all the necessities for making family meals. Our favorite part was the lake and the abundance of water toys! We used the kayaks, SUP, and the pedal boat every day! The sunsets at the lake are even more magical than in the photos. Thank you , Ivan !
