Sweet Little Beach Cottage

  • This little cottage is close to the ocean and only a short walk to town. This unit is downstairs with two small queen bedrooms, with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a wood burning stove and a table that seats 4. The small, simple kitchen is well equipped, but has no dishwasher. There is also an upstairs unit with its own parking and a separate entrance. There is a very private deck off the living area. Gas grill. Dogs Allowed. Renters bringing pets: Additional pet fee for each pet: $25/night capping out at $150 per week for longer stays, $50 extra cleaning fee. Bed Configuration: 2 Queen Beds

We had a marvelous stay in Stinson Beach. The cottage was quite comfortable for four of us. Having the beach just up the block was terrific. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The best part about the house was the host, Highway One Properties. They were amazing, excellent communication and went out of their way to be accommodating with needs. The other best part is how close the home is to the beach just down the block. The unfortunate part was the Home was very old dish towels, and bath towels need to be replaced. It really needs to be remodeled. The kitchen was well stocked. I will definitely book with Highway One Properties again, but not this property.

Comfortable and cute

We had a great stay. The location was perfect. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The whole unit and especially the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is absolutely perfect for a beach getaway. We went as a family of 3, and there was more than enough space. The little shower actually made the perfect bathtub for my 2 year old daughter, which was a pleasant surprise. Being able to walk to the beach AND walk to the little downtown with restaurants etc meant we hardly had to get in our car. The rental company was beyond hospitable- they provided us with freshly baked bread, a pack-and-play, and even a nightlight when I realized I had forgotten mine (a mom fail!). My only recommendation would be to get some little throw blankets for the living room, as Stinson Beach in general can be quite chilly. We are already plotting our return!

Stinson beach cottage

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this little cottage several times. It is a sweet, clean spot in a great location. Wander down to the beach with coffee and/or champagne. Great spot to cook meals or walk down the beach to restaurants. Bed is very comfortable. Very relaxing there always

Great little cottage steps from the beach

This was the second time we rented this property. It is perfect for a family of four. It was very clean when we arrived and provides all the basics for cooking and beaching. It is a lovely short walk to the beach, no shoes required. I appreciate the ease of booking, checking in, and checking out. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great location

This little cottage is everything it says it is. I was shocked at how close it was to the beach. Quiet and had all the amenities you need. Very clean and the kitchen was great. I would come back! The staff at Highway one properties were delightful!

Great for a small family

Perfect size for our young family of 4. We enjoyed the location and the beds were comfortable. We found plenty of towels, but could’ve used more than 2 washcloths for the 4 of us. There were plenty of numbers provided to call for issues, but we didn’t want to bother our hosts late into the evening or early in the morning (really the only times we were at the house for the two nights we stayed), so we made due! Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Relaxing time at Stinson Beach

The cottage was wonderful. It is a few houses from the beach and about a quarter mile to the town. The house was well stocked with kitchen equipment and had everything we needed to cook. It was clean. We loved the fireplace and stocked wood to have a nice fire on a rainy day. The only issue was the internet which had a few times when not available. It reminded us we were there to unwind and disconnect so not a problem.

Good location, poor property

As soon as we opened the door, we knew we were in trouble. Place smelled very musty, and smell never dissipated. We would have tried drying the place out with the woodstove, but its stove pipe was very rusted, had a visible hole in it and appeared very unsafe. There were two electric heaters in the hall, poorly installed, one of which was too noisy to use. The bathroom lacked a working fan, so bathroom and house became damp when taking showers. We spent six nights, and when we left all of our clothes and suitcases smelled bad of mildew. Took two washings for our clothes to get mildew smell out.

The entrance is right on a street that is just steps away from the beach. We still missed having any roasting pans. Cooking is a big part off our vacation. We always bring our own cookware - we don't care for the teflon set - but hope not to have to bring oven stuff too.

Cute, cosy apartment steps from the beach

My family and I enjoyed a week at this rental and felt right at home. The location can't be beat, the kitchen and patio grill were perfect for all the cooking we did. We definitely hope to stay again.
