A very eclectic cabin that has had several additions over the years. If your not expecting a lot it has its charm, and for the price, not a bad place to get away. It is a bit away from everything but the owner gave us great info on local restaurants and such. It is and older home so some things are a bit dated, but nice to be near the lake and large yard and patio for entertaining.

The screened in porch had spider webs all over the inside had not been swept even a birds nest was inside the screened in porch! Front porch unkept also , mirror in main bedroom not cleaned. Living room carpet not vacuumed, kitchen floor was sticky not mopped , I'm a cleaner myself on my job andi would of been fired if I left a place this unkept

Quiet get away

A work in progress. 4 bedrooms with comfortable beds. The twin in the pink room is really only suitable for a child due to the mattress is thin. Beautiful view. Plenty of seating in the living room. Nice patio for a camp fire

Good value and met our key issue

Key to us selecting this property was a pet friendly neighborhood with lots of options to walk and exercise our dogs. This location was exceptional for that. It borders TVA property with miles of open access with many locations we had to ourselves. The people of Raccoon Creek are very friendly, fun, welcoming and helpful. Most have dogs that are friendly. Being close to the boat ramp with access to the entire Tennessee River and lake Guntersville is a real plus. The house was comfortable, spacious, safe, and stocked with needed items. The area had lots of things to do within a reasonable distance for the person who wants to get out and explore. Restaurants and grocery stores are close by as is ACE hardware and Tractor Supply. Our favorite restaurants are 50 Taters in Scottsboro, Tates BBQ in Scottsboro. Mud Creek BBQ in Hollywood. Paynes in Scottsboro. Hollywood Pizza in Stevenson has excellent pizza but service is poor so call-in and take out your order. Dogwood Golf Course is 20 minutes away and a nice track. Goose Pond in Scottsboro has two courses which are fun to play but more expensive. Amy, the owner is very welcoming, responsive, and caring.

Not clean when went to cook had to wash dishes because they were greasy cob webs everywhere did not feel safe with lock on bedroom door not being secured no door going to bathroom in master bath see through curtains no blinds toilets didn't flush right we booked for two nights stayed one took the loss of money and came home a day y

Our family stayed for the weekend. It was a beautiful view of the water. Kids loved playing outside. It was so peaceful. Road is really long to get to it but it was worth the drive.

We actually walked in and walked right back out called the host and requested money back took some pics of the place and left. I never compline and have traveled a lot. Ceiling str falling with water spots. Host said they had a prolonged leak and replaced roof two years. Doors stick going to the outside with big cracks at the bottom. Wires to some plug are inside the wall exposed very musty smell. Grounds very unkept and overgrown. No blinds on bedroom windows with crack on the one I took pics of. I have sent my concerns to VRBO. SORYY SO LONG BUT THUS PLACE IS UNSAFE AND SHOULD NOT BE ON THE SITE TO BOOK!!!!!!!!

Disappointed

Let me put myself out there first. Yes, we did arrive early. Check in was at 2 and we got to go in around 12:20. We waited in the car with the air on because my dog was in the car and the host was cleaning the house. She said I was rude for sitting in the driveway for 45 minutes waiting on her to finish. Her husband came outside to stand the satellite dish back up, it was lying on the ground. When we went inside the T.V. screen said it was updating so we unpacked and went to eat. 2 hours later we come back to see the satellite dish back on the ground and the T.V. wouldn't work. The owners stated they would not be coming back so we communicated via text. They said to set the T.V. up with ROKU. We followed their instructions and it still wouldn't work. It would've been nice to watch some in the evenings after dark. Also when I was preparing brunch Sat. morning I found that some of the cookware and utensils weren't washed very well. Outside of that we had a 3 day mini vacay, going to The Caverns in TN for a concert in the cave. Great show.

We were in the area for a wedding but found so much around the area to do. We only wish that we were able to enjoy the lake and peaceful quiet of the neighborhood. Our fur babies truly enjoyed the weather and explore around the lake. Would 100% return!

Great comfortable, home like feel right on the water!

I've stayed here many times because it is my favorite place! Clean, affordable, very comfortable space with lake access. So perfect for a family or just a get away place to fish. Thank you Amy for doing a great job! We will be staying again in the fall for the frog bite on the lake.
