The "Nordsee Landhuus Heinken" vacation home is situated in a very quiet location in the middle of a nature reserve. You’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the East Frisian meadows and fields and can relax far away from any through traffic in the small village of Folstenhausen near the North Seaspa towns of Esens-Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast.
The North Sea spa town of Bensersiel and the beach are just six kilometers away and are located directly on the unique natural wonder that is the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009. You can easily get there in 10 minutes by car or in a leisurely three-quarters of an hour by bike.
This lovingly furnished and bright, cozy half of the vacation home—located in the former southern living area of the country house—measures approximately 90 square meters and is perfectly suited for a relaxing North Sea vacation for two to four people, plus an additional toddler— so it’s the perfect spot for your family vacation and for couples of all ages.
The vacation home features a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. You can safely store your bicycles in the tool shed.
In the large, sheltered garden with a spacious sun terrace, families have plenty of room in the summer to relax and unwind—or even run around on the 5,000-square-meter property, which features a fish pond and a small lake.
In the fall and winter, you can make yourself comfortable in front of the wood-burning stove. The tasteful, East Frisian country-style decor and artwork by local artists perfectly capture the special charm of this vacation home.
It’s not far to the North Sea coast—and thus to the dike, tourist attractions, and spa facilities—such as those in the two North Sea spa towns of Esens-Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel, or in Dornumersiel. Especially by bike, you can explore the area wonderfully from here!

Our location is ideal for walks, bike rides, and all kinds of adventures into the unique and diverse natural landscape of East Frisia. Enjoy an active yet relaxing vacation by the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
The nearby North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has much to offer in terms of sports, relaxation, and recreation—for example, in Bensersiel, the “Sonneninsel” North Sea thermal baths with a sauna area, wellness services, and many other recreational attractions; the wave pool; tennis courts; a maritime sports theme park; surfing spots along the dike; fitness facilities; beach volleyball; fishing opportunities; and, of course, the very child-friendly beach—as well as much more. You and your children should definitely visit the “Klabautermann” indoor play park in Esens—you’re sure to have a great time there. The “Klabautermann” is a large hall full of ideas for playing and running around.
Also very close by is the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel. Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active fleet of crab boats. In the beautiful historic fishing harbor, East Frisian fishing is still actively practiced today by many shrimp boats.
Neuharlingersiel also offers a wide range of tourist attractions for your vacation: the beach with the fantastic “Platschi” water play area, the new, modern “BadeWerk” spa and wellness center with a seawater indoor pool and sauna facilities, as well as the Kurhaus, Kursaal, an information center with the “Leuchttürmchen” children’s playhouse, the Sielhof as the “Haus des Gastes,” green spaces, events, a lovingly maintained historic harbor, and much more.
Dornumersiel, with its beach and seawater swimming pool, is also well worth a visit: Dornumersiel has been a North Sea resort since 1990 and boasts a very large sandy beach. This Sielort is one of the oldest harbors on the East Frisian coast.
