Steamboat Ski Condo
The property was in the condo area and had excellent bus shuttles to and from the ski area. The small 2 bedroom/2bath condo had been remodeled. Concerns were there were no working electrical outlets in either bathroom as well as several others in condo. No where in condo to blow dry or use an electrical hair appliance with a mirror. There was white hair, I assume dog hair on couches and bedspreads. The VRBO listing shows the condo as 1300sq ft but was small and more like 1000 sq ft. There were only 3 adults in the condo. We enjoyed skiing steamboat and the condo’s proximity to the mountain

Great ski location!
We used the bus to get to the mountain before figuring out that walking takes less time! A welcome booklet with the location of the trash/recycling as well as the hot tub might be a helpful addition but I loved the space!

Cozy with views
Our family of four had a lovely time at the condo. It was cozy and a great layout for us. We had views of the slopes and were able to watch the fireworks while staying warm by the fire!

Very nice property
Top Floor, View of Steamboat, Clean, Renovated and very close to free ski parking. Love the gas fire... I would stay here again.

Great stay. Expect to return.
The condo had everything we needed. Having basics like coffee filters, trash bags and paper towels was super. Condo is a quick bus ride (free) to the slopes or reasonably short walk. I had a couple fractured toes so we opted to rent a car. However if that had not been the case we could have easily reliee on the bus.

Great Time
My wife and I had an excellent stay at your condo! The kitchen was well stocked and the place was very clean. Also, the Xfinity WIFI was terrific and very dependable. The location was convenient and located on the shuttle line and very close to the Yampa River Bike Trail. The complex’s hot tub was out of order, but we still enjoyed ourselves!

Great smaller unit on the mountain.
My daughter's and I were in town for 4 nights on a last minute trip. Kathy the host was very accommodating as our flight got diverted due to weather. Check in was very easy (3:30am) and the unit was very clean and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time at the complex but having the washer/dryer was a nice amenity. Although the apartment didn't have AC, we were able to get cross breezes going by opening all the windows and patio door. Would definitely recommend this for a family of four. The beds in the second bedroom are twins.

It was OK
The pool was closed for the winter, which we knew ahead of time. The hot tub was small, dirty, and almost always full of people. The condo was in good shape, albeit quite small with little storage. We were expecting it to be well stocked and we had to run out and buy salt and cooking oil. They performed maintenance on the building all day one day making so much noise we had to leave for the day. All in all, it was OK. Our friends stayed several blocks away for about the same price and had a much nicer experience.

Worth every penny
What a beautiful time. The place was beautiful and so well appointed. We had excellent service and a lovely adventure. The owner actually drove in from Denver to help us right before a big snow storm. Not necessary, but so appreciated! Note: shuttles from airport are not free, but actually very costly. Plan ahead. The shuttle in town is free, and super cool and convenient.

Great long weekend
We loved Katy’s condo. Everything was as described, clean, spacious, and great location. There was a minor snafu with the cleaning crew arriving on Saturday afternoon- our stay ended Sunday- that scared my wife when she returned from a few hours away. One would think that they would have thought it odd that they were asked to clean while people were clearly still there. Some communication from the host after this would have been nice as well. Regardless, we enjoyed our time.

Ski trip
Toilet seats were lose. Tightened them down by hand but you need a screwdriver. Also range is not quite right, on high for ultra heat it doesn't get that hot. Takes a long time for water to boil.. I know it's high elevation but this is ridiculous. But otherwise it was great.

A fantastic ski vacation!
We had a fantastic time in Steamboat this past week. The unit is exactly as described: updated, clean, bright, with everything we needed. Our family of four had a fantastic time - kids had their own space and bathroom and the master was bigger than I expected with plenty of room for our stuff. The gas fireplace was all we needed for heat (and we were there during a cold spell). The free shuttle stop is steps from the unit, there isn't a closer spot in the entire complex. We didn't rent a car and were concerned the shuttle wouldn't be as advertised - it was and we're so glad we didn't need to worry about driving, directions, parking etc. The shuttle was perfect. Skiing was great. And the host is both available and more than accommodating. It was a fantastic trip and I highly recommend this unit.

Reasonably size 2 bedroom condo with the well-stocked kitchen. On the third floor, but was not a big deal for us for skiing. Very convenient to bus stopped transport to dinner in downtown in the gondola..

Christmas stay in Steamboat
We found the property as described. Close to the slopes with the free bus with easy access. Parking for 2 vehicles was easy and no extra cost. The view of the Christmas lights and slopes was great. Very clean and welcoming. Loved it!

Simple nice and comfortable
I would guess this is one of the older complexes in Steamboat. Perfectly fine location close to main areas and roads. But the property has some interesting tenants. Parking is easy and not a problem. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Only “issue” we had is that there is no AC. This is common in older Colorado mountain properties. Unfortunately it was 90 the weekend we were there. So it was hoooot. Each room had a fan so that helped a little bit. Maybe a window unit would be helpful. Obviously if you are staying for skiing that won’t be an issue but if you are staying in the summer just an fyi.

Well-Appointed, On Free Bus Route
Very clean and well-appointed condo adjacent to free city bus, both Orange and Green lines. The owner had clear directions for check-in, but the hot tub was locked, and the owner did not respond to my text asking about the key, so that’s a huge bummer.

Great ski week
I highly recommend this condo. Nicely updated condo and free ski shuttle picks up in front of building. bathrooms and kitchen are all brand new and great. Gas fireplace made it cozy and extra special for our family of 4.

Great location in Steamboat
This condo was perfect for our needs. The location was very convenient, easy to hop on the green line and get over to the mountain without having to deal with parking over there. Plenty of parking in the lot for the condos and nicely appointed for the price point. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Overall I thought it was a great value and would definitely stay there again when skiing steamboat.

Unit smelled like marijuana and cigarette smoke off and on; dirty towel in master bath. Description of unit says it was updated and there are a few updates but the unit is in an older complex and updates are not well done. Unit showing its age, bachelor pad feel. Good location on bus route to the mountain.

Kim, I’m sorry you had this experience. I tried to help the best that I could. In fact, we had several conversations during your stay where I tried to help but nothing worked for you. Since Colorado legalized marijuana and made it legal to smoke in one’s home, we do have the problem of marijuana smells seeping from one unit into another. This is a growing problem in resort areas and we all hate it. I would love to be able to control it but I cannot. As soon as you reported it to me I called the association and reported it. I’m sorry you didn’t like my unit. You are right, the buildings were built in the 90’s but all were re-sided and refurbished just last year. My unit was remodeled last year, too. But, the unit is a lower-cost unit so we aren’t as posh as a units that cost $300 or $400 per night. However, most of those units don’t have a view of the mountains and the ski area that I have 😊�. Again, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay or my home.

Good condo for a ski weekend
Our stay was great! The condo was very easy to find and check in/out was extremely simple. It was super clean, had plenty of parking which can be a problem in mountain towns, and had a shuttle to the ski resort right at the base of the building. The only thing I would change about the whole experience was the beds. All three mattresses are very hard which made relaxing after a day of skiing somewhat challenging. Nonetheless, this condo is perfect for a 3 or 4 night stay in an awesome town.

Nice place
We stayed at this condo for a long ski weekend in January. My review of the condo is as follows. The location is very convenient, maybe a mile or so from downtown, even less to the ski hill and the free bus line is just across the parking lot. The condo was comfortable with good beds and plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The bathrooms are updated but note that the master bathroom is exceptionally small and the shower was very tight. If you are big or tall, stick to the hall bathroom which is much more spacious in general and has a tub/shower. The kitchen was also very nice, very functional, and had everything you could want to cook meals or even bake! The condo has a single TV in the living room with basic xfinity cable and Wi-Fi that worked just fine. The washer and dryer was new and worked great. Detergent and dryer sheets where there which was a bonus. The living room is small, but the couches were comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch and would get the unit blazing hot if you left it on for any period of time. The common area outdoor hot tub was standard size, nice and hot and not too far from the condo. My constructive criticisms were this. First, note that it can be hard to find the condo in the dark even with instructions. Perhaps the signage for this building was under the snow? Providing a single entry key with not even a key ring to help you not lose it was disappointing. The ski locker was big, but so full of old boxes and other junk it was essentially unavailable. It was unlocked. Not sure it could be locked, perhaps with the same key as for the unit? What bothered me the most, was that owner had left absolutely NO unit instructions. Yes, we got a VRBO email with directions and access instructions. But there were no tips about the free bus service except to rely on a 20 page service guide that was exceptionally complex to understand. There were a few visitor guides scattered on the side table, half of which were a year old. No information was provided that there was even a ski locker available, nor information on where to find the hot tub or anything else in that big complex including nothing about where to put the garbage or recycling instructions, and NO exit instructions either – none! Instructions like this are a standard vacation rental courtesy! Very disappointing. Bottom line this unit is a very nice basic “value” condo with concerns that can be easily addressed.

Price, Location, Furnishings...All around great spot
First off, customer service was spot on. Email or phone, the owner was always responsive. Pricing was competitive given the location to the gondola. Took a 2 min bus ride up the hill and 10 min walk back down the hill. Plenty of parking. Furnishings we comfy and just enough. Plenty of lounge area in the living, fully stocked kitchen, and bed count for three guys was great. Enjoyed the little porch to take in some fresh air and had three lounge chairs. Younger community and neighbors were nice to run into and chat. I’d be back in a heart beat. Thanks Kathy!!

Great condos for the price!
Had everything we needed for meals. Plenty of pillows, sheets and blankets. Bus line right outside the door, minutes to the gondola. Everything was close and convienent. Prefect for our family. Comfortable beds and seating. Plenty of towels for the hot tub and showers. Had a great time in Steamboat Springs, everyone was so nice. Skiing was great! Walls are thin, bring earplugs. You may need laundry detergent and dishwasher soap as well as shampoo and conditioner.

Great Condo, great location!
We had a fabulous week-long ski vacation staying at Shadow Run. The separate bathroom and ensuite is luxury, and with two bedrooms, a great kitchen and a very comfortable lounge area with a balcony and mountain views, we can highly recommend this condo. The free Steamboat bus to the ski area and to downtown stops right outside the property. Kathy the owner made sure we enjoyed our stay and is a great host. Five stars.

Condo Great, Complex Not So Much (For Now)
Condo was great (other than some lights being burned out) with plenty of room for our family of two adults and two kids. The complex on the other hand had heavy construction going on, making it difficult to find the unit when we arrived, and lots of heavy equipment and noisy mornings. Didn't negatively effect our stay too much, just would have been nice to know about before we got there.

Nice Spacious Condo with All Ammenenties
The condo was a lot larger than the pictures show. Plenty of room for family of four and wonderful having two bathrooms with plenty of room to spread out. Condo was under construction we got there which in the future will make the balcony and outside façade even nicer - can't wait to see it next time we stay here. Pool was close to condo - 2 min walk and hot tub and patio area well kept. Kids loved it and parents did too watching them play while having a local brew. A few minor improvements needed attention including toaster, dining room light out, master sink a little backed up, ice machine in fridge not working, and cable and internet was out (due to construction - but nice workers ran a temporary line to accommodate us for the stay). When contacting owner with an issues always a quick polite response. I recommend and would stay again.
