We had an excellent stay! The house was gorgeous, comfortable, perfect. The only downside was the proximity to the ski area. The house is listed as a ski-in / ski-out, but it was at least a half mile walk each way. That is close.. but in ski boots, that's much farther than ski-in / ski-out. As a major reason why we booked this house, my group was somewhat disappointed by this as we decided to make arrangements for rides to and from the base. Otherwise, delightful stay, thanks!

Wonderful Home

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Chalet for our annual Steamboat vacation. Beautiful home, breathtaking views, very clean, well kept and stocked with anything you might need. The location of the home is great and very easy to access the slopes from Bear Claw and just a short drive to the base. However, a shuttle service option would be an excellent amenity to provide for renters. Our only other comment would be that the king mattress in the bunk room is very thin and not as comfortable as the other mattresses in the home. But overall, it is fantastic property and we would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend this property to others.

Amazing home!

Highly recommended! Super classy home with anything and everything you could want for a family trip! The home overlooks Steamboat, so whether day or night, it’s an amazing view! There was no garage door opener so that was a bit of a hassle when leaving the house, but on a regular basis I’m told there is one for guest use.

Steamboat Living

This property is a gem for a family visit. The views are perfect and property is well built and designed throughout. The guest services are great for any questions and quickly responsive. This is a property that makes a visit to steamboat an unforgetable experience. Our family plans to book again for our next visit.

Amazing View!!

The house was perfect for our family! The views were as advertised if not better. If I were going to ask for anything different I would have liked the game room "Supplies" to be updated. Beyond that minor thing the house was perfect and we will definitely rebook in the future.

Lovely view, nice hot tub

Great house for an extended family trip. Lots of space and plenty of bathrooms. Nice large kitchen. Pros: big place with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Views are amazing. Close to town. Hot tub was hot and lovely. Master bed was comfortable. Cons: master bathroom was lacking. The water in the shower and tub took FOREVER to get warm. A weird banging noise happened while showering or using the tub. The tub was very slow to fill. (Like 20 minutes) It was frustrating not having a garage code to enter, instead you had to go into the house and go downstairs to open/close the garage. It’s always frustrating having to “clean” the house before leaving, ie strip the beds, run the dishes, put away all dishes, clean pots and pans and put away, take all trash to street, completely clean the fridge etc. what is the cleaning charge for??? We would not have been able to pull our car into the driveway without the help of the neighbors. The driveway was VERY icy. You definitely need 4wd. Close to town. Well equipped kitchen. Frustrated that we asked beforehand if they had a portacrib, were told no, so we schlepped one out and found one there. Close to everything.

perfect house for 9 people

We loved the location and the bear visits. Everything was clean and in good shape. Having so many bathrooms and lots of space made for a perfect family reunion. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Fun

House was great. Perfect layout. Primary bath hot water took a super long time to get hot. Like 7-10 min. Of running the water which as a human who cares about climate and environmental issues made me crazy guilty. Maybe just get it adjusted. And not having a garage code or opener was manageable but a hassle with babies etc. But we loved it!

Men's family and friend trip

We have been coming to Steamboat for years in the winter but this time decided on a summer golf trip. I couldn't have asked for a better location on the outskirts of the condo areas. The home was amazing, clean, and ready to have us. The kitchen is ready for as many meals as you can throw at it if you aren't looking to go out to eat every night! We will definitely be using this property again for our future summer and winter trips to the Boat!

40th birthday

Great house to take with a group of friends or extended family! Tons of space and amenities. The view is incredible. Can be tough to get to when there is a lot of snow, so you must have 4 wheel drive. There was a small issue with the toilet in which they told us the person to contact and we never got a response.

Great experience

Beautiful mountain side house!

We recently stayed here for a week and we also got incredibly lucky with snow. The house was perfect to accommodate my friends and family of 9. The view out of the front windows were incredible and having about 2 feet of snow was an added bonus! We did have to wash one set of sheets that had stains but other than that no other problems. Getting up to the house was a bit tricky with snow but we all had 4wd vehicles luckily. Overall, this place was very relaxing and quiet at night in that neighborhood

Great for large groups! Game room is amazing and a huge plus!

This property is great for big groups! We came in mid-June for a 40th birthday celebration and the weekend was everything we hoped for. The game room was so much fun! The property is private so we were able to play music and get a little wild without having to worry about any neighbors. One thing the listing didn't mention is that the hot tub is a 6 person tub, which was great for our large group! Everyone was very impressed and we highly recommend this place! We will be back to defend our foosball championship!
