Great Spot For a Group Stay
The house was great, and kitchen very well equipped. Plenty of space for a group to spread out with ample beds! Only complaint for those skiing is the hill to and from the shuttle bus stop with ski boots on and carrying skis is tricky/steep, especially on the way home. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Steamboat Chalet
This place exceeded our expectations! Very close to skiing drop off site and our family had a great time at Steamboat resort. Every room had a view and we had glorious afternoon sun that allowed some deck time on our last day. Perfect vacation ~ thanks

Great location

Deep Clean and Maintenance Needed
Everything in this home needs a deep clean. I actually removed the bath rugs altogether because they were dirty upon our arrival. The wall of windows downstais could have been lovely but 3 of the 5 shades were broken in the down position. Kitchen sink windows don't function at all. Very poor lighting throughout. On the plus side, the upstairs deck was lovely. The fireplaces in the living room and downstairs bedroom were cozy and easy to use. Downstairs bed is very comfortable. Location is beautiful. Disappointed overall.

Labor day get away
I'd recommend this property to anyone! The views were unbelievable! It was clean and easy to get to the house. I would recommend this house to elderly too. My father enjoyed the weekend. We would be back again.

Great getaway in the mountains
We really enjoyed celebrating my father's 70th birthday here. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 and pups. The location is convenient, private, and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Steamboat as a family!

Beautiful location but disappointing overall
My family and I were elated when we found what we thought was a gem in Steamboat. The pictures were beautiful, I read the reviews and felt comfortable with the good and bad reviews. When we arrived, the “cleaning” crew was still there, as well as the spa cleaners, not a big deal! We had an errand to run, so we left for about an hour. When we returned, the “cleaners” were still there. At this point we we’re there 1 1/2 hours after the stated check in time. Once we we’re allowed in, we we’re greeted with an overwhelming dog urine smell, and several wet spots on the carpets throughout the home. There was also dog hair all over everything. We selected this home because it was pet friendly, but did not expect it to be as dirty as it was. We allowed our kids to have the upstairs rooms because the downstairs door didn’t lock properly and it made us uncomfortable. There’s NO A/C which would normally not be a big deal, except the majority of the windows in the house were inoperable which made it quite difficult to cool the house down. It was unusually warm while we were there so it was quite uncomfortable. The bed sheets on the upstairs beds were clean, but the downstairs bed, was quite obviously not. The sheets were obviously dirty and wrinkled as if they had been slept in and remade. The towels were also dirty and smelled like food. There was makeup on two of the towels. We ended up leaving a day early because we were so disheartened. Beautiful views, but needs work and DEEP CLEAN!

Unexpected
The property was a little cluttered, not horrible or anything. Biggest complaint was it was hot(no a/c) and Dust and dirty pans. Beds were comfortable . Took 24 hrs from checkin to get in touch with owner. Could not find a fan in the home. Went to Walmart and purchased one. Next day we found a fan behind a chair in second bedroom. Since owner was not available for 24 hrs, they were of no help. Girlfriend has allergies, open windows 24hrs a day did not help her, but due to temp on the home we had no choice, and Dust in the home sure didn't help. We left a day early. Pulled out a pan to make breakfast in was covered in oil. At that point we became nervous about all the flat wear and dishes. It was not a good trip for us.

Steamboat Springs summer stay
The first day we showed up it was still pretty hot with highs in the upper 80s and we are sure glad it did not stay that way. The house does not have AC, and the first night was rough with not being able to really open the windows at night (except upstairs) for bears. The house could use another fan or two, but otherwise it was great.

Comfortable stay
We had a comfortable stay with plenty of space. The home was hot during the day with no air conditioning but we did like the hot tub and Location with quick access to downtown.

Cute comfortable house with wonderful views
The house was clean & easy to relax in. We spent time on the main level deck often. Close enough to town. Really enjoyed having the views. My bed was very comfortable. I wish the bath tub floor had some texture on it.

Can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely loved our stay. The location was ideal. The views were stunning. The sunsets, breathtaking. The layout of the house was perfect for our crew. We stayed in the basement with our 3 year old and then the others had the upper bedrooms which were all nice size and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and having family meals. The hot tub was the perfect end to fun filled days. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy!

Great Location and Property
Our group had an amazing time staying here. Lots of room, easy accessibility to the mountain and close drive downtown. You can fit 8 people, but the house is really more suited for 7 adults. Margaret was very response to anything we needed! Highly recommend

Great views, older property
Location and views from the property are stunning. The furniture, appliances, beds, and kitchen supplies are adequate but not in great repair. It is also worth noting the third "bedroom" is the basement and does not have a door separating it from the bathroom or hallway. In order to access the hot tub you must walk through the basement bedroom. The hot tub is small but worked well. It is also worth noting the bathrooms are not attached to bedrooms, they are a 1/2 level up or down respectively. We had a lovely time but we are unlikely to return to this property.

Great place for price
I think this was a great place to stay and location was nice. I wouldn’t walk to bus stop cause of steep hill and slick roads. Only thing I would suggest is bedrooms to have a tv especially staying with several families it would work better. It had great space and kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Loved having the hot tub at night after a long day on the slopes. The views were amazing I would catch myself sitting up at night looking out the windows from upstairs bedroom.

Perfect little house right on the mountain!
We really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The only reasons we didn't were a few small things that didn't work or needed to be repaired during our stay. Other than that we have no complaints! This place is perfect and right on the mountain. It fits 4 people very comfortably. You can have 5 people and it is still nice. They had anything we need to cook and make meals. The best part for us was the size of the driveway to park a truck and snowmobile trailer! The condos do not allow it. The hot tub is a little small but understandable because of the size of the deck but still fit 4 adults for a long soak mountainside. It had plenty of linens, towels, washer and dryer. You really didn't need to buy anything other than your food. We would definitely stay here again! Check in and out was easy and the communication was great with the host.

Ski Time
We had an amazing stay! We had 4 adults and plenty of beds! The hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing. The kitchen was nicely stocked with any thing you would need. It did smell a little like dog when we first walked in, but we just sprayed some Febreze and the smell was gone. A nice mudroom to take all your ski stuff off. The beds were comfy and plenty of towels! Just a short drive to the slopes. The gas fireplaces were really nice. Definitely would stay again.

Great and affordable!
This was just what we needed for a group of six to ski for the weekend at Steamboat. The price was very affordable compared to some of the luxury condos, and having our own hot tub, driveway, and peace and quiet made it better than staying in a condo. The walk to the bus stop isn't too bad (probably too steep for ski boots). We found the place to be very clean and well taken care of. My only complaint is the downstairs bedroom has very worn mattress springs, and the backyard door from that room doesn't have a curtain panel so it lets a lot of extra light in when you're trying to sleep, but other than that everything worked out just fine :)

Great Location-Needs repair
Location is excellent; however, the cabin is very dated needs repairs. Many of the windows do not seal properly, front door lock not working, furniture worn and dirty, bathroom ceiling stained, bedding and linens worn out. Would not stay here again.

Rustic home with fabulous views
This rustic home has fantastic views of Steamboat and was in a great location. The kitchen was very well-equipped. However, there were some maintenance issues that we have shared with the owners.

Perfect for our group
Roomy enough for our family and our 3 dogs. Comfy beds, decent kitchen , fluffy towels and the free-standing gas stoves take the chill off in no time. Great views of town and mountains. Plenty of parking on the pull-through driveway. Quiet neighborhood. We were happy to find a place that would allow dogs and be comfortable for us. Like many rentals , there are chips in some dishes and most of the skillets are long past their prime. But the gas range is good, the coffee maker works and the fridge is family-sized. We would definitely stay here again!

Happy with location , communication , ease of check in but the house is dirty. I realize that it allows dogs which is why we stayed here but the dirt and smell of urine was over powering.

Just right for us.
Great views yet among the trees giving a secluded feel. The layout of the house worked perfect for our group. The well-stocked amenities were spot on and made fixing our own meals convenient. The dog loved our stay too (the chipmunks were quite entertaining).

Good location, needs maintenance and cleaning
Owner was very helpful, we had to rebook our trip last minute due to bad weather in May and let us reschedule to an available date. We arrived in the evening. There was some double booking problems but the other party had already left due to the place wasn't cleaned up at all. Cleaning service showed up late I'm guessing. The cleaning person there and said the place would not be done until around 8:30pm. We came back around 9pm. It was mostly clean but a lot of corners with lots of dust, spider webs and dog hair, all the carpets, couches and rugs had dog hair. It was attempted to be cleaned but it wasn't great. Noticed a couple smoke detectors were hanging by the wires and found out why on the last night at 4:37am, they all went off and turned back off a few minutes later. Wasn't able to find which one set them all off. Windows open but most are in need of lubrication, can be difficult to open. Bathrooms are surface clean but the tubs have caulking falling out and mold around them. Batteries for heater control in master were low so it was making clicking noises, thankfully easy to take them out. A piece of furniture has pretty bad burns on it, looks like it was too close to the fireplace at some time. Really in need of deep cleaning, maintenance and replacing of broken or worn out things. The hot tub was perfect, clean and in excellent shape.

Charming chalet with beautiful views!
We loved our stay at the Chipmunk Chalet! The house itself is super cozy and the location was great. We especially enjoyed the balcony and it’s panoramic views. The king bed was great and very comfy. We would love to stay here again some day!

It's a great location but the property really needs some attention.
The windows on the main level didn't open, the screens door downstairs didn't fit the track and close properly, the downstairs bed was pretty saggy. It was hot so not having ventilation was a problem. The coffee pot (Cuisinart) didn't work. On the upside, there were plenty of extra pillows and linens.

Good property but lacking in some areas
Overall, the property matched the description. We had a few issues with the property including a non-functional coffee pot, microwave missing the plate that spins food, worn sheets, and older cookware. The rugs did not seem vacuumed and there was a lot of dust everywhere (fan blades, kitchen shelves, light fixtures). The area was great and the view was beautiful but the property could use some maintenance and a deep cleaning.

We loved staying at Chalet Chipmunk. We love that neighborhood and usually stay there. This has been our favorite spot so far. The chalet is the perfect size for a small group - plenty of room to relax and hang out. It was just two of us so it was more than necessary but still incredibly cozy. Will stay there again!

Great!
Killer views, great mud room for skis/boots, really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Everything as described, neat, and clean. We had non-skiers shuttle us down to the gondola, maybe ~3min drive. Shuttle stop would be a bit of a hike in ski boots, probably more realistic if you were carrying your ski boots and putting them on after you get to the base area.

Pre Christmas Steamboat trip
This place is great. Our first time not right on the slopes. Did not disappoint. Looks small from the outside but very roomy and nice bedrooms. Very comfortable inside. Love the little gas “wood stoves”. Short drive to the Gondola so had to get used to figuring that out. It was easy. My son used the bus system which is a bit of a walk from the cabin but still handy. We will definitely stay here again.

Exactly what we wanted
Great little place! Clean and the hot tub is really nice. Linens were a little old/worn. The bed in the basement was extremely uncomfortable. Those things are expected at a rental though and not a dealbreaker. We would rent this place again.

The Perfect Getaway
The chalet was more than perfect!! The house itself was the perfect definition of luxury cabin in the mountains with an outstanding view. Cleanliness was top notch and had everything we needed for traveling (towels, blankets, kitchenware, etc.) The hot tub was the cherry on top of a fantastic stay. I wouldn’t want to stay at any other property in Steamboat and I definitely plan to visit again. Thank you!!
