Upon booking, we provide a 24-hour guest service number as well as email and message options should guests need anything before or during their stay. This guest emailed us after their stay regarding a few minor cleanliness and maintenance issues. Had they contacted us upon arrival, or during their stay, we could have quickly and easily sent the property care team by to resolve the issues they were reporting, with the exception of the stairs, as those required a skilled mason worker to repair properly. The stairs have been professionally repaired. We haven't had any complaints since this guest's departure, and the more recent reviews reflect that our guests have had nothing but a wonderful experience.

For security reasons, this property has a smart lock system, which generates a unique code for each reservation. The code does not work prior to check in time, unless an early arrival time has been approved. This guest did not call us for an early check in time, but was able to work it out directly with the property care team. While the guest did contact us about these issues, and we were able to get many of them resolved quickly, some of the details are exaggerated (there were 6 bulbs out, including 2 small ones above the stove). We received a heavy amount of snow during the month of March, and the maintenance team (noted in this review as doing a great job!) didn't have time to get to the deck prior to this guest's arrival as they were more focused on clearing driveways so that properties could be accessed. The stairs failed over the winter, and the owners have been trying to schedule someone to repair them this spring. This spring has proved to be wet and cold, so it's been difficult to schedule. The owners were unaware that the Ping-Pong table had issues, but worked to resolve it as soon as it was reported.

Thank you for your review. There was a bear that had been visiting the home during the early parts of summer 2018. It has not returned to the home since being struck by a rubber bullet. The carpet tacking was installed as an additional deterrent, and has now been removed. This home is on the edge of the national forest, and any future guests should be aware that moose, elk, bears, or other wildlife could be around, particularly in summer season. With proper precautions, visits by wildlife can be a real treat, and the property manager Matt will give you tips on what not to do, how to view wildlife safely, etc.
