Great place!

This was our fourth summer staying at this property. It's always a great time which is why we keep going back! Owners are great at solving any problems that crop up. We're not there for anything Penn State related. We lived in the area for a few years and return to catch up with family and friends, go to the Clinton County Fair and just make sure our grandkids have a great little summer getaway...and they did!

The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. We appreciated all the breakfast food that was left for us. The pool and the hottub were fantastic. There is road noise from a nearby highway but we ignored it and really enjoyed our time on the property. We hiked, rode bikes and fished. We will be back.

Long Weekend Getaway

My husband and I stayed at this property for a long weekend over the 4th of July holiday. We had a fantastic time! The grounds are immaculate, and we enjoyed the pool every day of our stay, phenomenal, and would definitely book this property again! Highly recommend!

Relaxing

We had a fantastic time. The place was exactly as described in the facts on the vrbo site. Cheryl and Charlie are very quick to get back to you on anything. Then place was clean as well as the heated pool. It’s a great place to relax, read, enjoy the pool, fire pits and the property. Stores of all type are within a few miles. We would visit again.

Great Stay for Penn State Football

This location was SO close to Beaver Stadium! Close trails offered a great location for walking and running. The house was very clean, and had plenty of room. You have the entire guest house/property to yourself, this is not a shared residence. Would definitely stay again!

Convenient to Penn State

We stayed here while visiting our student at Penn State. It is < 10 minutes away, located in the country next to a large creek. While it is close to an highway its presence did not bother us. The home is well thought out and smartly furnished. Cheryl even had it decorated for fall. She included lots of snacks/breakfast items and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need! The master mattress is ready for replacement, but other than that we give it 5 stars.

Another great PSU weekend at Cheryl’s and Charlie’s.

This was our group’s second time staying at the property. We love the beautiful grounds. Our Penn State kids actually wanted to hang out with us and we all enjoyed the pool and fire pit together!

Great Relaxing Weekend!

Recently spent a long weekend at this little slice of heaven in State College! The property was beautiful and welcoming - and the outdoor areas were gorgeous! (I have never seen such beautiful flowers). We even sat at the pool and watched deer in the meadow. Even with a lot going on, Cheryl made sure we were welcomed and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Great place whether you head out exploring or never leave the property

Cheryl and Charlie's guest house was perfect for our two families of 3 (both with elementary age kids). We did a little exploring of State College - campus, area restaurants, some nature areas and parks. The location was perfect for that. However, we could have been perfectly happy just staying at the house. The view from the back room and kitchen was beautiful with a rushing creek and wildlife. Stepping out on to the back deck gave a more expensive view. The nearby yard was massive with similar views and a ton of space for the kids to play. The pool was a great ame itt. Our hosts made sure it was warm enough to be comfortable and provided plenty of pool toys for the kids - and adults. The outdoor pavilion with large TV was great for catching a football game one lazy afternoon. And the seating - there was comfortable and plentiful all around the property. Some with umbrellas - including the back deck and pool - some with firepits, some just there. The josts also provided supplies for a full breakfast as well as more than enough towels, wash cloths, etc. Overall, this was a well-equipped and thought out property. You can tell the owners want their guests to be able to relax and enjoy themselves and have made an effort to make that happen. We would definitely stay again!

Beautifully manicured inside and out

Owners were available if we needed and welcomed us with 1st day breakfast already in the home. We felt right at home (or better). Firepit and patios were all so cozy. All furnishings were comfortable and the best part was the heated pool and beautiful landscaping, flowers and wildlife

Great place and location

This place was perfect! Stocked with coffee, waters, fruit and muffins. Charlie and Cheryl are excellent hosts. The pool was great and the yard is very well landscaped. Will definitely be back!
