Really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. Lots of space for 6 adults, property clean and airy, comfortable beds, great view window and lounge space. Found the historic artefacts and decor interesting. Enjoyed viewing the penguins after dusk with a short walk to the viewing area.

Overall a great place to stay. Very convenient location. A key to the front door would have been handy. Laundry doorknob kept falling off which made closing the door from the outside a challenge and there are a few lightbulbs that need replacing.

The Lodge was amazing. Fantastic location, absolutely everything you could ask for in a home stay! Comfortable, lovely aspect, very comfortable home to base yourself in Stanley. Penguins & whales at your back door, great views. We all loved our daily walks, even a few walks up the Nut! Highly recommend the Lodge & will most definitely stay again. Thank you for having us

The house was beautifully presented with furniture and fixtures in tune with the historic nature of the building.The house was warm and comfortable, spacious though well proportioned and very easy to make ourselves at home in. The back yard was securely fenced for the pet and an easy waliking distance to town facilities and the beach and including a fine view of the Nut.

one of our best accommadation experience while in Tasmania

We absolutely would recommend "The Lodge" as your base while visting Stanley.The lodge was beautifully decorated with a quirkiness which we loved.The sunroom with its big windows framed our water views.The viewing platform for seeing the penguins at dusk was just a quick 5 minute stroll from "The Lodge" and we were able to walk around most of the quaint town and explore all its eateries and shops.

This home was renovated beautifully. Much of the original antique type design and it was much larger than expected. Very comfortable and amazing view of the ocean and the Nut!

The lodge

Beautiful location, lovely house well equipped. A tiny improvement would have been a few more blankets which would have made the stay slightly more comfortable. A small factor in a truly beautiful home. Thank you.

GREAT POSITION

RANGE HOOD VERY DIRTY. NO BBQ. OUTSIDE DINING SETTING TOTALLY INADEQUATE .AND SINGLE BED SLATES KEPT COLLAPSING DURING THE NIGHT. ALL ISSUES EASLY FIXED. ONCE THESE THINGS ARE FIXED TOP SPOT TO STAY AND A LOVELY PROPERTY NEIL

Perfect stay in Stanley

Great historic property with all you need and close to what you need to see. Paul nicely let us check in early - big thank you! The house is lovely and the location is close to The Nut and beach boardwalk for penguin viewing (free). Would stay there again next time we get to Tassie. Only thing is the water gets scalding hot, so careful if you have little ones.

Relaxing stay in Stanley

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. Stanley is always a beautiful place to visit and staying at the lodge just makes it more special. The owners have kept the atmosphere of the place whilst providing all the modern conveniences. It is warm, welcoming and quirky and would be the first place I would look to stay iin Stanley.conveniences.

Fantastic find in Stanley

What a perfect place to stay! It was within walking distance of Stanley main street, wonderful view of the Nut and beach. The house had well appointed sitting areas, plenty of kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and large bathroom.Accolades to the owner for the thoughtful and tasteful decorations. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to others.

The property is perfectly situated in the township of Stanley with everything being in walking distance. The Lodge is spacious and was well fitted out with all that we needed to make our family getaway a memorable one. We would highly recommend it :)

Great location and ample well appointed facility.

Spent two days in Stanley and found the location of the Lodge easily as the building makes a statement in the street scape. It was close to the main town area and provided a casual walk to the beach and all that Stanley has to offer.

Quirky and comfortable

I really enjoyed staying at the lodge. It had everything one would need but was very homely and comfortable. It was convenient to everywhere. The place had some wonderful features and it was a place that made you feel so much at home that you could have happily live there. Would certainly look to visit again in the future.
