This cabin could be very nice, but there are some major problems.
Before we arrived we were sent an email saying we would be sent an access code to get entry to property. But on the day itself we still hadn't received one so we started to message, email and telephone the host on 2 different phone numbers. Nobody replied to any messages and we left several voicemails which were not responded to. So we hoped that this meant that like many rural properties we would just be able to get access easily, if it was already open or if there was a reception or something. But after 8 hours of driving, when we arrived we could not get into the property. Calling the host's main number and emergency number got no response. There is no cell service or internet at the property, so we had to drive around for another 40 minutes to get internet, then eventually find a grubby motel which allowed pets, drive a further 30 minutes and pay for the motel. Eventually, late morning the following day the host replied literally saying "my bad" and gave us the code.
After that he did send us some flowers and a box of chocolates for our anniversary, which was nice, and gave us a partial refund, but that only just covered the night we missed, along with the fees and taxes which we still had to pay in full.
Other than the check-in and communication difficulties, the cabin is very nice, in lovely, quiet surroundings, and having no cell or internet service does force you to unplug and relax which is very refreshing. The hot tub is good as well.
That said, the cabin is a little run down, and quite dirty in places (for example in windows, corners, edges of bathrooms and taps etc, bedsheets were slightly stained), and even though you expect there to be insects in the countryside, gaps under doors meant that large numbers of big ants walk freely into the cabin all over the place, which wasn't very appealing.
Anyway if you aren't that fussed about cleanliness, this place could be great, but just make sure that you get the entry code beforehand, and that you download an off-line map of the area to your satnav so you don't have to just drive around if anything happens and you need to contact someone or use the web.
