Amazing house with literally everything you could possibly need! We had 6 couples & everyone had plenty of room. Monique was great- she answered all questions in a timely manner & did a great job showing us everything at the house! We can’t wait to come back!!

Wonderful Property

What an amazing trip! We spent time in every nook and cranny of the house and thoroughly enjoyed all its amenities.This was an awesome property and the perfect place to have a lovely vacation filled with beauty, fun and activity.The air conditioning was perfect! It made sleeping so pleasant. The swim up pool bar was ideal for our group, and we created some great memories while gathered there. We used the pickle ball court, the golf carts, and the beach cabana almost every day. The beach and ocean behind the house was picturesque. We just couldn’t get enough of this house and this beautiful island. We had a fantastic week. But, there’s no doubt in our minds that the people of Staniel Cay - both the staff and the locals - made our vacation special. They were friendly and kind. This is a unique, one of a kind property and a extraordinary island experience.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!

We stumbled across this listing exactly a year before our trip. We've been to several out islands in the Bahamas but had never been to Staniel Cay. This property is flat out amazing! If anything, the pictures don't really capture the beauty throughout. We were greeted by the staff as our flight arrived and taken to the home. It was super convenient and the house is laid out extremely well. Four of the 6 rooms are oceanfront and the kitchen and living room offer amazing ocean views. The kitchen is well stocked for gourmet cooking and has plenty of spices, which is very nice! We used a private chef 3 times (Florinda, we love you), and ate at the yacht club the rest of the time. The water in the bay in your backyard is simply pristine. The backyard has tons of room to play beach games, and we took advantage of the basketball and pickleball court daily. One of the things that really stood out and separated this property from others is how well thought out everything is. There is a large touch screen in the kitchen designed to communicate with the property manager for any needs that arise. All of our questions were answered in a very timely manner. We had housekeeping daily which is sooo nice when staying for a week with a house full of people. We inquired about some very cool custom shirts representing the property and the staff gave our entire crew a shirt and a yeti-style tumbler. All in all, this was simply a perfect trip and we can't wait to go back!

Fantastic Trip!!

The Runaway house was perfect!! Beautiful fully apportioned with everything we needed!! Location was great and the bay was beautiful with shallow water to walk far into the water!! Pool and swim up bar was enjoyed by all!!!

Over the top INCREDIBLE!

I don't write many reviews, but this place and this team is amazing! I didn't think this kind of accommodation and service was available but they've got it dialed in. Can't say enough about the prompt attention from the owner Jane and Monique the property manager. We absolutely loved Capt. Kuenson getting us to all the special places on the water without any crowds, and Chef Rancourt's delicious meals! Celebrated my 60th with family and friends and the team made me feel like a queen for my entire stay. The house was well stocked with great amenities, the view is incredible, beds were comfortable, AC was nice and cold, golf carts were nice and in new condition. We will be back again!

This property was absolutely amazing. Was first class from every aspect from the condition to the amenities. I have owned a house in the Bahamas for 10 years on a different island and know what it takes to maintain property there. This house exceeded our expectations. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful views

Beautiful location and perfect outdoor oasis. The pickle ball court, the ocean float and pool were amazing. Cute beach house but spent most of our time outdoors. We did cook a few meals and the kitchen was well stocked. Only complaints were that we had trouble with biting insects when outside and no wind blowing and the runway for flights is right by the house. It was somewhat entertaining to watch the planes take off and land. We did have some issue communicating by text with house manager but with emails she was very responsive.

Family Vacation

My family of 10 (8 adults, 1 teen, & 7 month old) stayed at Runaway last week. Everything was perfect… from house, staff, to location! Jane was easy to book with and very helpful. The house manger, Monique, meant us at the airport with golf carts and took care of our luggage. After a short drive we were home and in heaven. The beach is beautiful!! The paddle boards were used everyday! After a long day at the beach, we’d jump in the pool to cool off! Chef Michelle is a MUST!! Every bite was delicious. We’re from Louisiana, we know good food! Lol Her cheesecake is the best thing I’ve ever eaten!! She also helped with our provisions for the week. Our best day was the boat day!! Rent the boat!! The captain was a character!! He made our day so fun and memorable. Sand Dollar Heaven was our favorite spot! The swimming pigs were a close second!! All I can say is we didn’t want to leave!!

Perfection

From the time we arrived we were treated with the utmost care. Jane and Monique took care of literally every part of our stay. We had a magical time with our friends and made many new ones on the island. The house is immaculate and in the best location. There was ample room for the four couples and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The house and property is spacious and serene. Will absolutely be back!! Thank you!!

Paradise Found

We were very lucky to spend 14nights in Runaway over Christmas & New Year.. we had such a blast. The house is FABULOUS- great kitchen with all the amenities, ice machines, Aircon, WiFi, Netflix’s and views to die for! Outside / pool / bar is awesome.. swim up bar, outdoor grill.. we had some great meals and so much fun in the pool.. running onto the beach.. the ocean being a few meters from the house/pool.. being on the runway is so much fun, the planes landing and taking off a few times a day was a highlight.. I think the adults liked it more than the kids!! Monique, Michelle and the rest of team looked after us so well. Nothing was too much for them they bent over backwards! And Jane the owner was also so nice, super helpful and excellent communicator. We took the boat out and explored the beautiful waters of the Exhumas.. the colour - it’s quite unbelievable - popsicle blue! The yacht club serves great food for lunches and dinners, strong cocktails too! ;) NB. If you are coming to Runaway/Staniel Cay there is NO ATM on the island so you need to bring cash with you and keep in your safe!! We would love to come back 10 out of 10!!! Private Location with Amazing Water Views

The Runaway house was a wonderful vacation spot for our entire family with plenty of space, easy boat mooring accommodations, great daily cleaning service, and a wonderful and helpful staff. We had 11 Adults and everyone had plenty of room with comfortable beds and cool A/C. Overall an amazing and well maintained property with a great location if you want privacy and relaxation.

Staniel Cay Getaway at The Runway

We loved our stay at The Runway house. The house has perfect set up allowing enough space and privacy for everyone. Very comfortable. Perfect little cove to snorkel in & Short golf cart ride from the house to the yacht club. We loved Staniel Cay and the beautiful waters surrounding. We will return!!
