"One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out."

"I traveled to Shenandoah national Park and it was struggling to find the best place to stay since the park is such a long park. I’m so glad we chose to stay here. It was a very good location towards the middle. That was also very close to the Luray caverns. The home itself was so nice and spacious. I really like that there was a full kitchen so we could cook instead of eating out the whole time.. "

The location was remote enough for our liking, but was also close enough to larger cities to make it easy to get to.We stayed in the shire suite and because I am a big Lord of the Rings fan it made for great ambiance, especially the big round door.We would love to stay here again in the future."

The owners sent a welcome email once we booked which included details about our stay and a house manual that answered any lingering questions. We stayed in the Bass Reeves cabin which was cozy and perfect for our family of 4. The one bedroom is large so we put an air mattress in the room for our boys who like to stay close when in new places but a pullout sofa was...
