A computer did not work at the front desk and it took a little while to get a room key. We called the front desk at 6.30pm to let them know that the bathroom sink drain plug did not work. Upon our return at 9.30pm nothing had been done. The front desk then sent a maintenance person whose solution was to take out the plug and leave the sink with a big hole and no possibility of holding the water. Front desk called back to offer a free continental breakfast this morning which does not do anything for us since we are meeting friends outside for breakfast.

I like that it is dog friendly but finding the spot to walk the dog was not evident fron the room. I kinda fell into it.

It was a quaint inn. A little dated, but nice. I had a leaky toilet that ran every ten minutes, so ended up turning off the water to the tank.

We came for a party and stayed the night in this hotel with our kids. They did not have a room with two that we booked and didn't tell us on check in. Instead we got to the room after a long drive and discovered one king bed for 4 people. We called down to the front desk and they put me on hold for 5 minutes and then came back and said they're sorry but they didn't have another room for us. The carpets were filthy - everywhere not just in our room, the rooms were dusty and the bathroom cleanliness was questionable. Maybe one of the worst experiences I have had with a hotel.

Iffy at best

Our room 110 has a door which does not close properly, tv iffy,bathroom not too clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff friendly, location good.. breakfast unwelcoming,pool highly chlorinated so difficult to be in the pool area. Most importantly road signage less than adequate. Sorry to say I would not recommend.

Westport Inn Nightmare

I do not like public negative reviews — I prefer direct contact with the hotel over issues of concern. But two attempts to talk to the Manager have failed, and so I am forced to turn to this forum at the recommendation of Hotels.com. I was so excited for this stay because I grew up in this area and know the location is perfect! Unfortunately, and I am hoping this was an unusual circumstance for the hotel, our room was in great disrepair. We photographed the bathroom, so shocked were we at the state of disrepair and grime and mold. We were shocked. We had meetings the next day in NYC, and when we returned at 4, found our room had not been cleaned. When we called the front desk, no apology or explanation was offered, just a question if we needed more towels (ours were all in the bathtub, used, awaiting cleaning...). We stay at hundreds of hotels for work and travel, and this experience was unique. The state of the bathroom; absence of room cleaning; and the lack of help from the Manager are all red flags. I am hoping this review serves to either warn future guests or alert the Manager into a response/explanation.

The local TV did not have the New York Yankees game and yet we are only 30 miles from the Bronx. Finally I found that the bar which was not run by the hotel had the game

This is a clean and comfortable hotel, and the service was good. I wasn't expecting anything fancy at this price point, and I wasn't disappointed.

Comfortable Beds, everything else is Old and Dated

The rooms and common areas are old, run down and dated. The room felt damp and musty. The beds and bedding were new, clean and very comfortable, but the rooms themselves need to update.

They charge for refirator, $25 no microwave, only one chair and small dest, no table to seat to ear something, the closet shelve is dusty , on top the bathroom doorr disgusting, they send it didn't wipe it out they fall all over me, carpet look old, no free breakfast, too much money the hotel.

Did not stay more than 10 mins

Did not stay. Put us in a room we did not book. Once moved, the room was dirty, musty, with wallpaper peeling off the walls. The front desk attendant was nice and did not charge us a penalty for canceling our stay but, would have paid it to not stay there. It is nothing like the photographs online. I would not recommend.
