This was our first trip to USVI. We had such a great time and Peter provided many helpful write-ups on thing to do and places to eat. We hate leaving but have a strong feeling we will be back! The room was well equipped, comfortable, in a top location and with a view! Great location to try different beaches, but Sapphire is a place you can have it all.

We had the best stay at New York Designer’s Caribbean Getaway. Peter is an amazing host. He is friendly, outgoing and accounting! As far as amenities go; literally everything you need is there! I woke up to have my first cup of coffee, and went, “oh, no!” forgot to get Splenda or sugar at the store, but it was right there in the cabinet. The shampoo, and conditioner are amazing, and in big bottles, so plenty to not need to lug that there. The deck was our favorite part! A lounge chair, 2 benches that run along each side, tons of pillows and cushions, and 2 tables with 4 chairs. Also, Citronella, and regular candles you can use. Breakfast with the amazing view is stunning, and dinner by candlelight at night, so romantic. The balcony is also wonderful. It is off the bedroom top floor, and has 2 chairs and a lounge chair with a cushion and pillows. High ceiling in the bedroom made of wood. Georgeous. There is a beach bar, and grill on property with great food, and a higher end restaurant. We watched 5 weddings, and a proposal from afar. Each one unique and wonderful. There is a KMart with many items, and a grocery store with lots of familiar items, and some local items. If you forget a charger, there is a “mall” you go into right from the side of KMart. There is a store there where we were able to get a charger for my Apple Watch. I just cannot says enough great things about this incredible place to stay. We will be back! The airport has TSA Pre-Check, and Global Entry.

I could look out at this view forever! We had a wonderful, long-term stay (5 weeks) at this lovely condo. Absolutely stunning views - DO NOT miss the amazing sunrises! Condo is exactly as described and has all the amenities one needs for a relaxing stay at this gorgeous beach. Varied restaurant options right on the property make it easy to unwind and enjoy your days without much effort but it was also super convenient to take a cab into Red Hook to do a bit of grocery shopping. Snorkeling right off the beach was great. Host was easy to work with and accommodating. Any questions were answered quickly and thoroughly.

Stunning location! The condo has amazing views from two wonderful balconies. We enjoyed the location and our stay. The property had excellent beach access and we ate some very good pizza while there. The owner provides all the information you’ll need and more. The condo itself has just about anything you could need or want. It was such a great week. Check in and check out could not have been easier.

Peter was amazing from the moment we booked our vacation until we arrived back home. His knowledge and island tips were all very helpful. My favorite part was waking up every morning to a smoothie and the view. This was honestly the first vacation we have taken and nothing mattered but the present. Mother Nature Thank you Peter for allowing us to enjoy your slice of heaven.

Great vacation location

Excellent condo with all the amenities. Fabulous view out of both upstairs and downstairs balconies of St John. Right next to the small Sapphire harbor and located on the beach. Also just a short distance to Red Hook. I highly recommend this place.

Paradise 🏝️

We had the most amazing time. This vrbo sits directly on a gorgeous (albeit rocky) beach that's always empty with the sandy part of the beach (and a few people) about 100 ft away. We spent a week here. Every day we made plans to go explore the island and every day we blew off our plans to instead enjoy what we felt was our beach. Yes, it's that nice. The beach bar and Beach Buzz (coffee/smoothie shop) were daily musts. The owner of beach buzz is the most genuinely kind woman. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Peter, the owner of the vrbo, goes out of his way to provide helpful information and does his best to ensure you have a great time! Stop questioning if you should go, stop reading reviews comparing options. This is it. This is the one. You won't regret it

Excellent beachfront condo in perfect location

This property sits directly on the water in a condo resort community with many amenities on property that make for a comfortable stay. The bedroom is located on the 3rd floor with a magnificent view of St. John from the balcony. If you are lucky enough to book this property on a full moon, as we did, you will be treated to a perfect view of the moon as it rises in the sky and casts its silhouette on the Caribbean Sea. The location of this property was the highlight for us. It is located on the East end of St. Thomas, a 5-minute drive from the town of Red Hook where you can catch the 20-minute ferry to St. John for the day or dine in Red Hook with many excellent restaurants to chose from. Make sure to read Peter’s restaurant recommendations and you can’t miss. We did have one issue during our stay but I believe it was out of the control of our hosts. The state-owned Water and Power Authority (WAPA), which supplies water for the Virgin Islands, was performing an emergency repair on a pump and this activity did leave the entire condo resort property without water for a few days. Although this was not an ideal situation, Peter was very responsive to our needs during this time and provided reimbursement for the inconvenience. At this property, you can take comfort in the fact the host is committed to ensuring you enjoy a fantastic vacation.
