Katherine was wonderful! So helpful and provided super fast responses. Five of us girls on this trip and not one complaint! Plenty of supplies (detergents, paper products, etc) and everything is clean. Super roomy and the VIEW is something I’ll never forget. Thank you, Katherine, for a Girls’ Trip that will never be forgotten.

Beautiful home, amazing views, and a great location!

Our family of 6 had an amazing time. The home is very spacious and provides unbelievable views of the ocean! The hosts communication is impeccable and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would ever need. We will definitely stay again in the future!!!

Spectacular views

Beautiful home with spectacular water views in an ideal location. Quiet and residential, safe and secure, and well equipped. Lots of room to spread out, generous proportions of rooms, and modern bathrooms and kitchen. Would return to this property. Owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. No issues or problems to deal with.

Christmas / New Years Holiday 2024/2025

We were amazed and in awe of the scenery at our VRBO rental from the moment we pulled our rental car into the driveway. It will take you breath away. So awesome!! Everything in other reviews we have seen says it all. Our host was available and within a call/text within minutes at any time of day. Zero complaints, except we didn't want to leave, LOL. We would love to go again. We rented a car for the week at Paradise rental as our host suggested and it was well worth it. Everyone in our group of 7 loved the house and the breathtaking scenery from the veranda. We made dinner at the house a few times and it was a snap to find everything we needed to cook our meals. 10/10 review, I could go 20 out of 10 but I guess you can't beat perfection. Thanks again to our hosts. We can't thank you enough for making our holiday a wonderful time.

One Word: Amazing

The house was simply spectacular. The location and view were unbeatable. We were simply thrilled with our stay. Totally out of the control of this house/listing/owner - the roads in the USVI are NO JOKE. The drive to first arrive at the house was a bit of a nail biter, but Katherine went above and beyond to guide us and NOT rely on our apple iPhones. Wisely and thankfully so! Communication was consistent and thoughtful. If I could give ten stars, I would do so.

Homecoming

We chose this beautiful home for it's ability to comfortably accommodate 7 of us for a homecoming/family reunion and it was perfect. Everything was clean and well stocked, beds comfortable and the pool refreshing. The host is amazing, staying in contact and answering all my questions. You can't go wrong with this home for your STT trip, don't hesitate to book.

Breathtaking!

The photos just don’t do this property justice, it is simply breathtaking! The house is large and open and immaculately kept. The communication from the owner was fantastic from booking through our stay. My family of four had an amazing trip to St. Thomas with this property being the perfect home base for multiple adventures in the islands. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe, well kept, and in an ideal location! We will be coming back again, 5 stars!!

World class view!

Our family absolutely loved this property! The views are nothing like we have ever seen before. Waking up every morning to the sunrise over the water was amazing. The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Katherine was extremely communicative and helpful and made the entire process easy. We highly recommend staying here!

Island life at it's best!

Almost Heaven in STT

Fantastic Villa! Fantastic owners! Everything you expect, all where you expect it to be. Very communicative and attentive to our needs. Wonderful sunrises and views. Villa is great for entertaining and furnishings that accommodated a group of 8. Everything you would want or need for cooking, going to the beach or relaxing at the pool. Safe, secure and very private gated community.

Villa of Paradise

Our stay was pure perfection! We were impressed with everything the house had to offer. From the amazing pool, the beautiful views, and the comfortable beds. The island had a power outage and we were fortunate to have a working home generator and solar panels. In addition, Katherine is amazing! She checked in every day and was so helpful. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay…..look no further! We hope to come back again!

We had an amazing week at Joie de Vivre. Katherine and Steve are absolutely amazing hosts. Their home is gorgeous and it was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas and an anniversary. The location is spectacular! The home has everything you need and more. Katherine's communication is immediate and incredibly informative. We loved everything about our stay. Stay at Joie de Vivre, St. Thomas

We are going home today after an amazing 9 day stay at Villa Joie de Vivre. To say that this is a luxurious villa would be an understatement. The villa has a million dollar view of the Caribbean that took our breath away every time we walked out on the lanai. The owner Katherine was so accommodating. We texted each other almost daily, many times just to tell her how much fun we were having. The villa is equipped with absolutely everything you will need to grill, go to the beach, to watch movies, play games, etc. Our entire family would give this property 5 stars without any hesitation. Wonderful Week in Paradise!

The week at this villa was even better than the pictures. Our family of 5 with 3 teenagers loved the space, the amazing views, Caribbean breeze on deck, pool after beach. R&R! Great location up road from gorgeous Magen’s beach, perfectly situated. We’ll be back!!

Villa Joie de Vivre!

This property is phenomenal and Katherine our host went above and beyond to make sure everything was up to par. The property itself sat in a gated community where you always felt safe. We had all the amenities we could possibly ever need- often felt like I was at home. In addition, you had amazing views of Megan’s bay and the BVIs. Was close to many pristine beaches and Red Hook where you could catch the ferry over to St. John’s. In the future my family and myself would love to stay at Villa Joie de Vivre again and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to St. Thomas. Thank you Katherine for sharing your lovely home with my family!!

Perfect house in paradise!

I can't say enough about this house and owner! The location is amazing and the house had everything you could ever want..from a well stocked kitchen to everything you need for your beach adventure. The views were amazing. We spent every evening out on the porch watching the moon illuminate the water and the sunrise every morning rising over Tortola in the distance. We have stayed in many VRBOs, but this is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The owner was very helpful and communicated with us prior to our arrival and even as we were on our way back home. We hope to be back soon!

Just Magical

Our stay in St Thomas at the Villa Joie de Vivre was an exquisite experience! Katherine was a lovely host from beginning to end. She helped us with our planning, gave us terrific recommendations and even checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. We traveled with 3 couples for a week long stay in St Thomas. We all felt like we hit the VRBO jackpot! We have all stayed in other tropical VRBOs and this home was by far the best. Thank you so much Katherine! We can’t say enough about the Villa … the house was not only beautiful but very comfortable, well-appointed and the views are out of this world. We found the location to be perfect, so close to the gorgeous Magen’s Bay, and convenient to the other beaches we visited … Hull Bay, Lindquist Beach, Saphire Beach and the Red Hook area. Some of our trip highlights: -We loved being at the Villa … with the amazing sunrises, coffee and cocktails on the Lanai, the incredible views, Sunbathing and Moonlight bathing on the pool deck, neighborhood walks, cooking in for many meals. It just doesn’t get any better than this. Just Paradise! - We treated ourselves to the exquisite culinary delights of the private chef, Josh Fleagle, for two occasions (a drop off dinner and dinner prepared in home for us). -Beautiful beach days at Magen’s Bay … spacious, beautiful beach w/ lovely shady spots… great swimming (saw some turtles!) It never felt crowded. -Adventure to Lindquist Beach, another gorgeous beach, different vibe than Magen’s Bay, but we loved it. Loved the views of the islands from the beach. Very few people here, nice facilities, good snorkeling and great shade trees. -Hangin at Hull Bay for yet another fun beach day w/ a surfer vibe (including surfers). We had fun hopping between the beach and the very cute and clean beach bar area, Hideaway (loved the swings and dining area and the food from the Shack – great fish tacos) Beach is rocky in most spots so you have to be careful swimming here. -Day trip to St John w/ snorkeling at Francis Bay. We had the best snorkeling here! -We rented a car and taxied some. Thanks to Katherine’s recommendation for Samuel Dependable Services (very professional, friendly and prompt taxi service)

Great Stay and Beautiful Home and Views

We were a group of three couples and this was our first trip to St. Thomas, having stayed in St. Croix last year. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Joie de Vivre February 11-18, 2023. The views and sounds of the waves from the lanai and verandas of the home are absolutely breathtaking. The home is just a quick drive to Magen's Bay Beach. There are multiple beach chairs, coolers, pool towels, etc in the home for a day at the beach! The home was very clean and well supplied for anything you might need. The three main bedrooms are all e-suites and quite comfortable. Each bedroom has air conditioning but most nights, some of us chose to open the windows instead and listen to the waves crashing throughout the night. We have stayed at other VRBO properties and the owner, Katherine, has been one of the most engaged and communicative home owners. She offered us suggestions on things to do, helpful hints, and was quick to respond to any questions prior to our trip and checking in with via text during our stay. Katherine even provided us with the cruise ship docking schedule, offering us advice on where to go and where to avoid when the ships were docked. You can tell this is Katherine and Steve's home and it is well taken care of! We would highly recommend this home and you will love working with Katherine. We also want to thank Steve for his service-it is greatly appreciated. Thank you Katherine and Steve for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. A great time was had by our group.
