The host cancelled the booking 2 day prior. I had it book 4 months out. Do not risk renting from this person they will destroy your vacation without as much as an apology.

This was a horrible experience. I was able to book & pay for this reservation online. Only to find out in the middle of our vacation that it wasn’t going to be available. This was our 2nd stop of our trip. The host had a cancellation for Saturday & was able to make the original booking work. Once arriving 2 the Ritz we were told Leah made it 2 separate bookings. Meaning we had one room for the first night & then had to switch to another room for the following night. This wouldn’t have been such a big deal or inconvenience if done correctly. But we were made to leave one room, leave our luggage with the bellman and wait until after 4pm to get into the next room. We had no access to our belongings, private bathroom or our toiletries. We were treated as if we had checked out from the hotel & were checking in again as new guest, which wasn’t the case. There was zero urgency to have us into our next room. Other guests who were arriving were given their rooms before us. We were the last ones “checked” back in. When I contacted the host, Leah about this issue I received no response. If she has responded it was hours later as I kept checking to see if she had. Most frustrating thing was when we asked to access our luggage with the bellman, it was already in the next room we were assigned. We were just not given access to the room yet. We were escorted to the room to access our luggage, while the attendant stood with the door open until we left b/c room wasn’t ready, this was @ 3pm

Great vacation with family of 4!

Overall we had a great stay! Property owner has 11 rentals at this location and we were assignes to a ground floor room by the Ritz with not much of a view which was not as pictured on this site. However, they were able to move us to an upper level floor since they had availability. Just make sure to ask ahead of time to be on an upper level floor if a nice view is important to you. Everything else was perfect for our family and we would definitely stay here again!

Paradise made Perfect

Typical Marriott Timeshare Unit

If you have ever stayed in any Marriott Vacation Club 2 BR properties in Orlando, this is on par. Rooms are good size with quality furnishings. In Orlando, the unit might rent for $300 a night before taxes. I know it has Ritz in the name, but there isn’t really much difference form this to Marriott Grande Vista or others like it in Orlando. So at $1,000-plus a night, these are very expensive. But as you will see when you get on island, there are not many really nice resorts - you need to rent a house or villa to get something pretty nice - so they get away with the prices. Food at the resort is pretty good but expensive, like New York City prices. Whole resort quiets down around 10. This is not the place for partiers. But it gets dark around 7, so it does not seem too odd. Now for the only bad news. Every part of St. Thomas facing east has a seaweed problem. If there is a bay facing east, it is likely full of seaweed. My guess is that all the weather comes from the east and pushes the seaweed in. And if you read any reviews about Margaritaville, they have a massive problem. Most of these resorts like the Ritz have small bobcats and guys out there raking it up and toting it away to dump trucks near the end of the beach. This is true at the Ritz Carlton residences as well as at Margaritaville. Today is August 2 and this morning there were bobcats and guys on the beach cleaning the seaweed up. If you don’t remove it and it gets up on shore and starts to dry out, it starts to release a terrible gas that smells like sulfur dioxide or rotten eggs. We were over on Saint John yesterday near Coral Bay, and they had the same problem. But beaches like Magens Bay on Saint Thomas and most of the beaches on the western shore of Saint John don’t have the seaweed problem. At least not during late July early August when we visited. Oh that’s sad

Beautiful Stay

We just had a wonderful stay at the Ritz vacation club. The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The only downside was the sargassum seaweed - not the fault of the resort. One beach was unusable despite the staff's tireless efforts to keep it clean. However, the hotel beach right next door was well kept and beautiful. I would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon.

Perfect for our Family

The 2BR residence was beautiful and well kept. Views of the ocean from all rooms! The service at the Ritz was top notch. Leah was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property. We hope to be back soon!

Best of Both Worlds

We recently stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom unit at the Ritz Carlton Residences in St. Thomas. The unit was 1600 sq ft with bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment which provided privacy for us. As a guest at the residences, we could take advantage of the all of the amenities at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The hotel, staff and property were amazing. I would definitely consider staying at this property again over any hotel in St Thomas.
