Beautiful Home, Lovely Location

This home is the quintessential southern residence. Beautiful interior & exterior, spacious front porch, and a nicely appointed screened sitting & eating area in the back overlooking an awesome courtyard. The home was immaculate, and it was a pleasure to return to after a busy day on the island. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location is perfect. You can walk to the ocean, bars & restaurants. If you rent this home, you will not be disappointed!

The Perfect Getaway

We visit St. Simon's every summer and this was our first time staying at the Southern Living Cottage. It was so charming, the absolute perfect spot. Walking distance to many spots, and just a short drive to the beach. Looking forward to many more stays!

Perfect Lil Getaway Cottage

This home was very clean, well furnished, and in a great location! We played in a pickleball tournament at Mallery Park and were able to walk there. We also walked to the many restaurants and shops at the pier and waterfront area.

Perfect Get Away

This home was so beautiful and comfortable and perfectly appointed with everything you could possibly need for a beach rental. Also special to have bedrooms with king sized beds and bathrooms attached. The peaceful neighborhood and short walk to the village was ideal. One of the best of the best ever experienced!

Simply Delightful!!

This was our 40th anniversary get-away. We just fell in love with Anastasia’s Burrow online and it didn’t disappoint. Very beautiful and well-kept home that was a joy to stay in. This house is stunning! Great location for walking to quaint restaurants. Loved seeing all the dogs and their owners passing by. The house is absolutely spotless. Can't wait to come back. Host is fantastic!

Beauty, Comfort, Location

This property is outstanding in so many ways that it’s hard to know where to begin. The aesthetic of the house is obviously beautiful in the photos but even more so in person. I could spend my review talking about the many elegant appointments of this house, but its comfort is the key feature. Each room is furnished with sofas and chairs that invite relaxing with a good book or friends….this includes 3 great outdoor porch and patio spaces that look onto lovely landscaping. The kitchen is well-equipped with chefs quality appliances and plenty of cooking utensils/needs. We overslept every morning because the mattress and bedding were so comfortable. The quality of lighting which is often poor in vacation rentals was excellent here with plenty of lamps and well placed fixtures with dimmers. Upon arrival the property was spotlessly clean. The location here is ideal for walking to Pier Village ( about 2 1/2 blocks) to restaurants, shops, and the beautiful waterfront park and pier. There are several parks a block away with tennis, pickle ball courts, and playground equipment. Beach access is about 4 blocks away. The entire village area is very walkable and bike able as it’s primarily residential. As convenient as this house is to the Village, it’s on a peaceful, quiet street. I could say more but will leave it here…lovely house and experience.

Beautiful & Cozy!

This home was so beautiful! My husband and I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. The fireplace on the back porch was a nice surprise with firewood included. We loved our stay here! Such a beautiful home.

Great vacation home!

Visited this property with family and had a wonderful experience. This house is GORGEOUS - well decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The owner has provided little touches that make this feel more like home - e.g. picnic coolers, a wagon for walking with kids, and beach towels. As someone who enjoys cooking, I appreciated having nice appliances and all the tools I needed (even things like potato mashers and meat thermometers!). Easy walk to shopping, dining, and beach. Would stay here again.

Fantastic getaway!

What a perfect stay! The house is both luxurious and incredibly comfortable. Every little detail is attended to, from firewood and kindling in the patio fireplace to organic olive oil in the pantry. We had a wonderful time here with our two young kids. The house is gorgeous and immaculate, yet also perfect for families with so many comfy nooks and lovely fenced in outdoor spaces. We would come back in a heartbeat!

It was the perfect house for our family of 6 adults. The house was very well appointed and updated.

We had an excellent experience with this property. The beds were very comfy and the water pressure was great in the showers (both very important to me!). The kitchen was very well stocked and everything was updated. We loved the large front porch…perfect gathering to escape the sun. The neighborhood is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. I would not recommend the beach down the street during the day because of the tides but we rode are bikes to a great wide beach. You can ride/walk down the entire beach from our street during low tide. I would highly recommend this property and we would stay there again!

Dreamy beach getaway!

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for our recent stay at SSI. This house was darling— exactly as pictured in the photos. It was clean with plenty of space for My husband, our 3 kids and my in-laws. My husband loves to cook and the high-end appliances were great for him. Just a 5 minute walk (with strollers!) to the downtown area and a 4 minute drive to East Beach. We will recommend to all our friends/family! Thank you!

Beautiful Coastal Cottage

We recently returned from our first family trip to St. Simon and loved it so much we are now looking into buying our own beach house on the island. Our trip was greatly enjoyed in large part due to the wonderful house we rented for a week. Anastasia's Burrow was not only immaculate but also professionally decorated with all the comforts of home from the beds to the well-stocked kitchen. The location was ideal for family bike rides to the nearby park, a walk to the pier and restaurants and a short drive to the gorgeous beaches. We look forwrad to returning to this gem of a house!

SSI Get-Away

This was the perfect place, both for location and use of home. It was decorated beautifully, immaculately clean, and well supplied with items for cooking. The sitting areas were wonderful. We ate all our meals on the screened-in back porch. Each couple had their own bathroom with an extra bath in addition. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was! It was everything (and more) that we hoped for.

Great house and neighborhood

We really thought this was a great place and loved proximity to the park with its majestic oaks. We recommend renting bikes to scoot to the beach.
