Great property with a unfortunately bad experience

Everything was excellent, except for a very annoying issue that prevented us from having the peaceful vacation we were after. the only thing was there was.a party across from the property backyard that was rented to a bunch of grad students. The deck on the property is directly above this property fenceline and treeline. They partied for 3 straight nights before finally getting shut down by the parents. If I were property managers in this area I would be careful not to rent to people in this age group at time of local graduations. They did not seem to care about noise complaints as we could hear the party from our bedroom for 3 straight nights. We had to have a fan on full blast and could even still hear them. We were outside enjoying the fresh air and could hear the whole party. We even had to deal with one kid that was trying to sneak out and try to exit through the property backyard. Luckily I noticed him coming and verbally was able to get him to go back.

Beach

House was really cute and very clean. Street was fantastic (e.g., moss covered tree in the middle: wonderful!). Lots of great eating places close by. Beach a really easy bike ride away. Only issue: one of the owners' bike's (green one) chain kept falling off (and you can't stop without a chain). It really isn't safe: fix it or nix it. Cheers,

Fantastic house

My wife and I stayed at this house on our first trip to St. Simons, and it was fantastic in all respects. The house itself is nicely updated with a nice kitchen and living area and a deck off the back. The master bedroom that we used is large and well-appointed. It was just what we were looking for. What we didn’t realize when we booked it was how great its location is too. It’s within easy walking distance to the beach and the WWII museum (which is fantastic) and a quick drive to the pier area and its shops and restaurants. In addition, the management company was great and had great communication before and during our stay. We would stay here again on another trip to the island.

Beautiful Beach Bungalow

This is the most adorable beach bungalow. It had everything that we needed and was in walking distance to the beach. The check-in/check-out process was easy and the property management company was very communicative and even sent along recommendations for things to do in the area which was helpful. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you’d need for cooking and there were a ton of toys for my 7 year old nephew. We would stay here again if we make if we make it back to SSI!

Blessing at the Beach

The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for our week’s stay! It was close to the beach and not far from the many restaurants and activities. We loved the enclosed porch to have our coffee in the morning and to read. We were truly blessed this week. Thank you!

East Beach Cottage

This home was the perfect spot for our family’s long weekend at the beach. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and the cottage had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

Rusted, hazardous metal furniture on deck with some rotted boards facing an unlandscaped yard which was mainly dirt. Screened porch had stained, dirty concrete floor in need of paint partially covered with stained rug, rusted glider from the 50’s. Uneven flooring, very small master bath. Positives: location, master bed comfortable, plenty of cookware. Not a good experience for the price.

Family beach vacation

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Cottage on 3rd. We've been to SSI many times, but this was our first time staying in the East Beach neighborhood- we loved this convenient location! The house itself was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We miss it already. We will be back for sure.

We enjoyed our time at the cottage. The only piece of information that would have been helpful was a description of the house and beach toys/kid friendly things available. We brought many things that we ended up not needing because they were at the house already.

Great experience

We loved our stay at Coastal Cottage! The home was beautiful and full of charm! The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Great access to the beach and plenty of beach supplies and close to everything you could want to see and do in St Simons! The only things we would recommend is to update the binder in the house with a current calendar for trash/recycling and checkout times (they do not match the instructions from the property manager). It was a perfect vacation and we loved the house!

Great location and the house is so cute! It was stocked with everything we needed!

We loved the house! It was stocked with beach stuff and 2 bikes for riding around the Island! It was very clean upon our arrival and was in a perfect location. The short walk to the beach along a hidden path was great! We will definitely be back to this East Beach cottage!

Hidden Gem in East Beach

Cozy cottage

This place was great! Close to everything. The master bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The best part was how attentive the contact for the property was. When contacted she responded quickly and efficiently! Would definitely stay here again

A great beach house in a quiet neighborhood.

This house was in a quiet neighborhood with great beach access. We didn't rent a golf cart - the wagon that we brought worked great. (If you want to rent a golf cart, the 5th street beach access is a perfect place to park.) The house had everything our family needed. The screened front porch was a nice spot to relax and great for all the beach gear.

Perfect place to stay!

We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was so inviting and comfortable. It is close to the beach and yet close enough to shopping and all the other sights. I loved the screened porch and the deck in the backyard. The home is well supplied with dishes and cookware. We made good use of the bikes, beach chairs, & beach towels. We hope to return to this lovely spot in the near future.
