Family Beach Trip

We enjoyed our week in St. Simons for our family beach trip. The location of the property is wonderful and so close to great restaurants and shops. The pool was very nice and the walk to the beach from the condo took about 10 minutes. The condo itself was a bit small for our family and in need of updating in the bathrooms and kitchen. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, our two kids (ages 3 and 5), and my parents. The condo was very well-equipped and had nice beach chairs available for use. The bedroom that our kids stayed in with the twin beds was very hot, despite keeping the blinds and curtains closed at all times. The rest of the rooms were freezing to try to make that room cool enough for them to sleep in there.

The views were beautiful and the walk to the beach was quick and easy, which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the condo itself felt worn. The furniture and rugs had unpleasant odors and needed deep cleaning badly!! We had to go buy an essential oil diffuser to mask the overall smell of the condo. The primary shower was old with mold in tiles and hard to use, we could never get the temperature right with a decades old faucet so we didn’t have a decent shower the entire time. Bathroom also smelled like urine. The second bedroom stayed hot all week due to inadequate A/C. So uncomfortable for the kids! This was probably known because a big fan was left in the closet for all guests. The kitchen lacked basic essentials—no pot holders, limited utensils, terrible pots and pans and also an extremely slow coffee maker—which made cooking so frustrating!! We ended up leaving a day early due to the overall discomfort. I hate leaving negative reviews but after pondering our time here it felt insulting overall that this condo was rented to anyone. So much potential in a property but it fell short. Please do better for your guests.

Little paradise

We loved our stay here! Excellent views, convenient walk to the beach, beach towels and beach chairs were so helpful. Renting bikes is a must! Loved the restaurant recommendations. Such a relaxing place and loved this island with its little bit of paradise feel. Would love to come back and highly recommend! Only problem at check in was the code we were given had just expired a couple of days before we arrived so we couldn’t get in and had a line of cars behind us. But a worker came by and told us the new code and that it had recently changed. Otherwise, nothing but 5 stars on everything!

Beach Club in the place to be

I brought my family down for Spring Break. We have stayed at the Beach Club over the years and love it. The pool is great and the area around it is spacious. The beach is always nice. Walkable to some great restaurants.

Great spot & amenities

Perfect for what we needed! Great for shared spaces to spend time together and great for some quiet time in the bedrooms. The amenities were everything we could have wanted! Pickleball court, pool, spas, and small patio to enjoy morning coffee or evening chats. The location is very walkable for the beach, shops/restaurants, and scenic sidewalk path. We would absolutely visit again!

Rm was great but access to beach limited

due to weather, beach access was limited due to large underwater areas to either wade through of hick around. W chose to drive to easy areas. Also to the constant din of leaf blowers went on forever.

Needs Ramp for people with disabilities to access beach

Beach is not accessible for those in wheelchairs or struggle with mobility issues as there is a huge marsh one must go through to even get to the beach. There's a serious need for ramps to make beaches accessible so that we don’t have to spend our vacation visiting the beach from the balcony. The condo was fabulous!

Great location and place as advertised

We have stayed at The Beach Club property several times in the past but this was our first time in this unit. Would absolutely stay again. Love the location and pool/amenities in the building and this unit was clean and well kept, as well as a great amount of space for us and 4 tween/teen kids.

Birthday celebration

Our family came to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday for a few days at the beach. It was our first time to SSI, but we enjoyed it so much, we are sure to make a return. 418 was a great place-location was excellent, and the condo was clean and well equipped for our stay. We enjoyed the tennis/pickleball courts, the gym, the beach and the pool. Especially enjoyed biking around the island!
