Great little getaway! Relaxing walk to the beach and surrounding areas. Condo was clean & welcoming. Definitely be back for another visit soon!

Immediately upon entering the condo we saw dirt on the floor that looks like it is coming from the folding doors on the left. In this utility closet we can't tell if there is black mold or just years of accumulated dirt. The windows, blinds, and sliding glass doors are dirty. When we went to use the cookware the first night we found that many of them were dirty. The kitchen faucet is loose and feels like it is about to fall off. The drawer next to the refrigerator only opens a few inches before it hits the refrigerator. The stove is in poor shape and should be replaced. The cabinets in the kitchen are in need of repair. The ceiling shows signs of water leeks that have been repaired but not repainted and the attic access panel has paint chips missing. The bottom edge of the closet door in the master bath and the clothes rod in the closet is rusted also there are no hangers. The grout in both bathrooms is dirty and the calking for both bathtub/shower units is failing. All the light fixtures that have clear globes are dirty. All the rugs throughout the unit are dirty and stained. The lighting by the couch is poor, we informed the owner and he sent a table lamp over but there is no table to put it on. The unit faces north and does not receive any sunlight. The only view you have from the unit is other condos.

A very nice condo in a great location! The unit is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator and carts. You can see and hear the ocean at that level. The walk to the beach through the grasses and shrubs is beautiful! Nice wide beach. Everything I needed was in the condo including beach stuff in a storage unit. Communication was good and check-in was easy. St. Simon’s is beautiful and unusual. On,y 25% of properties are rentals, so it is a real low country town with gorgeous old trees festooned with Spanish moss. The food at every restaurant I went to was fantastic. Lots of cute shops close very close to the unit.

Property owner was very responsive. Location wasn’t what we hoped for. To get to the beach you had to walk through what I can only describe as a mosquito infested swamp. I’m not joking when I say you would have dozens of mosquitoes on you. We ended up renting a golf cart and driving to one of the public beaches.

Our stay at SSI was great! Shipwatch is an older property but met our needs. The beach was never crowded, the pool was always clean, and parking was easy to find. Bring a beach cart because it is a bit of a walk if you are hauling things to the beach with you. Ben was a great host!

Cute little spot

We enjoyed the condo. The owner was quick on his responses to questions and a minor issue in the unit. It was just the right size for our family of four with close proximity (but a walk through the foliage) to the beach.

Been coming to Shipwatch my entire life. It is like a home away from home. The check in/out process was super easy. The unit is just as described. The bed in the primary is probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Had everything you needed to have a great week at the beach. Overall everything in the unit was great, cannot wait to come back next year!

Location to town and beach access was perfect for us. Pool area uncrowded and spacious. Unit was perfect for three people. Host responded promptly to messages. Some minor bumps and bruises with wifi and washing machine addressed by host in timely fashion.

Great beach condo

Very nice condo with everything we needed. Great with a dog. Beach is a bit of a walk, but very nice. Great beach. Able to walk to great restaurants. Area was peaceful. Only comment on cleanliness was the appliances were a bit greasy. Would love to stay here again. Washer and dryer in the unit.

Great Family Vacay!

We had an amazingly relaxing stay! The location is wonderful. We were able to watch lots of fireworks from the beach on the 4th which was a great suprise!! The property was well maintained and the pool area was a great place to unwind!

Baseball at the beach

Overall it's a great condo! Nothing over the top and easy access to all parts of St. Simmons. Yes it's a little bit of a walk to the beach from the condo, but its a very easy walk with private access. We came for a baseball tournament and it was perfect since we were in and out of the condo a lot between games and spending time with the baseball families.
