We brought the entire family together to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday, and this home was perfect for the occasion. With plenty of space for a large group, everyone had their own room, and there was lots of room to gather around the kitchen island, living area, and the beautiful sunroom.There were a few minor issues: the garbage disposal wasn’t working, there was no cleaning spray, and we couldn’t find the remote for the skylight in the loft above the upstairs bedroom (we didn’t even realize there was a loft bedroom). Also, the step down into the sunroom is a bit high and could be tricky for older guests. That said, these weren’t dealbreakers, and we were too busy enjoying our time together to bring them up with the host.Overall, we were very happy with everything the house had to offer — especially the pool and the close proximity to the beach and town.Thank you for hosting us and helping to make our mother’s 80th birthday a celebration she’ll never forget!

Fun Family Time

We had a great time! The house is beautiful and loved the open concept. I could stay connected while I was in the kitchen. We put together three 1000 puzzles on kitchen table. I was surprised that the room with bunks was outside. Luckily we had great weather so it wasn’t a problem.my son was cooking sweet potato’s in oven and it set the alarm off so that was a little ordeal. The upstairs toilet didn’t work but maintenance came and fix it the next day. Then downstairs had an issue. They were doing construction next door so we were not able to enjoy outside pool on Monday or Tuesday. It was wonderful to have a place for my whole family! Thank you.

Family vacation

This was a perfect house for a vacation with our extended family. It was easy to spend time together in the common areas, pool and nearby beach. But everyone also had their private space. A hurricane hit in the middle of our stay so we were thankful for the generator

Great location loved going to the beach both days and then relaxing by the pool!! Super convenient to town on bikes. Fantastic kitchen and space for all to have a bit of privacy. Would love another trip to stay here in the future!!

So Much More Than Even Expected!

We booked the Octopus Odyssea as a last minute trip for my son's Winter Break. My husband couldn't make it due to work engagements (he is a realtor!😉), so it ended up being just myself, my 15 year old son, and his friend. We love St. Simon's Island, but honestly, the main reason for choosing SSI is that a few of their school friends were going to be there with THEIR families for Winter Break. My son & I looked online, and he is actually the one who found this fabulous home! I immediately booked it, knowing that it would be scooped up before I knew it. And I could not have been happier! The location to the beach, the location on the island itself, just absolutely everything was PERFECT! And the property...we'll, that is just a whole new surprise! The home is absolutely striking. From the minute you pull into the driveway, you know you're in for a treat. I had seen the photos, so I had an idea of what the home looked like, but the photos, as beautiful as they are, don't do it justice. It is extraordinary. But somehow still quaint and inviting. Lots of room. The layout for each bedroom & bathroom is private, yet it still feels like a family. There is not ONE detail left to worry about. The pool is definitely the highlight, at least for me! You can't go wrong renting this home. It's ideal for any and everything. There are too many wonderful things to say. It's Coastal Georgia Perfection. Enjoy.😊

What the doctor ordered

Perfect home and location for us to spend family time during the holidays. Quiet neighborhood very close to the beautiful beach. Well equipped and comfortable with every detail throughout (nice beds, linens, even makeup mirrors, plenty of kitchen supplies and good quality too). We hope to visit again during the warmer months.

A Peachy Time

This is a perfect property for families or friends. Located near the beach and near restaurants and shopping. The house is setup great with a pool and porch for outdoor living. Easy walk to the beach. Would definitely come back.
